Have you ever considered an inexpensive counter over your cubes? I have a set that is 3 high and 5 wide and purchased an inexpensive sheet of pressboard (cut to size) from the hardware store and painted it. I keep mine about 6 inches away from the wall and have about a 4 inch overhand on the front for extra counter space (there is a brace on the wall that adds extra support since there is a pretty decent gap there and I put heavy things on top) and it keeps the top flat for storage. You could probably do something similar with a piece of pressboard cut to the exact size of the top of 1x4 units and just adhere it on with something as simple as redline or foam tape so you have one long solid surface. I used primer and paint I had on hand, so literally, the only expense was $10-$15 for the board.

So many ideas! I've always watched your scraproom tours but since I didn't have a dedicated space for crafting it was purely for entertainment. Now that we've moved and I have a scraproom and is in the beginning stages of setting up this has been a gold mine of solutions! Thank you for sharing this updated room! 💕

+Theresa Wall it was a container that a set of tiny beads came in. I got them more than 10 years ago at Costco so they will probably be hard or impossible to find. But I'd look for inexpensive kids Sets of beads.
