Very good!!! I'm trying to do something similar but instead of TV I want to put my guns. I have a computer desk with monitor and speaker on the top and I want to lift and get access to all my guns.

hello jacob i like your project and i am about to start a project like this but i have some questions before start; 1. is 19V laptop charger is ok for lifting up 32 inch TV by using suitable motor? (ps: i wont use a linear actuator i will build belt mechanism with dc motor to lift up) 2. if i use that laptop charger, do i need to use capacitor and fuse for protection or the charger have those components already? 3. so if first questions answer is yes how can i wire laptop charger-toggle switch-limit switch and dc motor all together without any damage to components? and lastly 4. whats the hardest part you faced in this project? Thanks in advance for your answers

Hi there young fella, thanks for sharing your ingenuity with the rest of us. I am at the moment building a bed, and I would like to incorporate this into my design. I have seen similar beds in the market, but alas too expensive for me to buy. If you would be kind enough to send me a schematic diagram of how you put the electrics together I would be so very obliged. thanks a lot pal in advance and for sure I will put my video on the tube when I am done with this project with a note of thanks for your help. cheers

hi i'm impressed the way go about you tv lift.could you tell me the exact model of the motor that you used.also why do you used all this electric system for the motor.thanks for the time and happy to hear from you

thank you for your interest. here is the actuator i used firgelliauto.com/product_info.php?cPath=93&products_id=105. The only reason for the complicated electric system is because the actuator was suppose to have a max of 10A. However, during the initial movement it could pull around 12-14A. So my 10A power supply would go into protect mode. If you plan on using an actuator that pulls 10A, buy a power supply that supplies 14A+. Let me know if you have any more questions!.

Hi, nice work, I am wondering what type this actuator is, can you please share?

thank you for your interest. here is the actuator i used firgelliauto.com/product_info.php?cPath=93&products_id=105 The website has many different actuator stroke lengths and force limits. I would suggest you buy an actuator that can provide 10-15 times the weight of your TV. let me know if you have any more questions!

The rails can support 100 lbs each, but the splitting wood blocks that hold them up are safe for 5 lbs, the wiring is taped together at the connections... man, this is not good. Be careful

Well it's been working great for over 5 years. So obviously you have no idea what your talking about.... Man....
