A shipwreck in that cove next to the old fishing site would look so sic
@kostar-875 ай бұрын
Absolutely. And it would make for some nice storytelling. Perhaps the shipwreck is what ultimately led to the creation of the lighthouse there right next to the cove

If you put some sand around the cove, or put an island in there you could have a seal colony, or have a colony of sea birds.
@ryanroodenburg71495 ай бұрын
This is a great idea! My thought is adding a sand bar at the tip of the cove that could span over to the lighthouse and in front a bit, creating a clear separation from the harbor water. Love the seal idea! Plus you get to recoup a few clear tiles!
@franknelissen80415 ай бұрын
Could you add a little wooden boardwalk from the old fishing store into the cove so people could fish from it? Breaks up the shape and colours as well. And it adds storytelling. :-)

That water is coming together nicely! I do think the lighthouse should move over a little and connect to the cove. Would look a little cleaner.
@rnulfschmer75375 ай бұрын
Yes I agree. The breakwater and lighthouse will definitely have been considered together whichever was built last. As it is, the lighthouse feels like it was teleported there. Maybe not move the lighthouse but incorporate it into the breakwater.
@blakewharper5 ай бұрын
Yeah I came to say this! A path along the rocks to the lighthouse would be realistic. Nothing paved or crazy, just a time worn path

I like the shipwreck suggestion for the cove, swimmers in the water and fishermen / fisherwomen standing on the rocks can add extra realism.

For the cove on the far right, if you move it back a few studs, you could add a cool sandy area that’s 3-4 studs deep, it would look awesome and give hidden beach vibes. All the tourists go to the main beach but the locals know this hidden spot 😂. Also I second connecting the rocky cove to the lighthouse. It would look sick!

would move the lighthouse more to the cove and i agree that a shipwreck in that cove would be intresting for story telling. it can be used as a play object and treasure hunters can dive on the big cove.

The boutique hotel could charge higher rates if it were located ON the boardwalk.overlooking the improved water and not a road and train track. Move the track back a block to create a straight run over the canal toward the zoo. This solves the train elevation, boardwalk access, and S-curve track issues, while improving the waterfront view.

Hey bricksie what’s up! Just wanted to remind you that when you doubled the bank for the city you told us you had to use a different color for the window frames because you didn’t have the right color frame! I don’t remember entirely if that was the same case for your doubled hotel frames too. But I noticed it a while back and wanted to make sure I let you know for your next order! Not that it matters too much just wanted to make sure you knew. City looks great!

Wow man, great build. Amazing. You should think about using some clear/white colored trans bricks up against the rocks and other non-beach type areas where the flow of the water brings it up against something, to show the waves crashing into the rocks, etc. Love how this is coming together!

In my opinion, you should move the fishing shack by the road behind the beach, so that you’ll have more space for epic stories. If it stays in its current location, it may take away from some of the scenes you’re going to add. Also, it may be a good idea to move the beach modular buildings a couple of studs further. By doing that, you will get more space for the beach, the surface of which will be more proportional to what the new water occupies. Anyways, great job! Your city and new water details look awesome. Keep up the good work!

Instead of the board walk bridge and train bridge could you do a pavilion/with a train stop? The pavilion could be for picnic tables to enjoy the river walk or maybe on Fri and Sat nights a band would play for those minifigures on date nights walking the boardwalk. also it would be great if the train stopped there for access to the board walk and beach. it you could do cross walks on the road bridge with stairs going down to each side of the canal.
