HEY GUYS!
Today, I'll be detailing my family's car, 1998 Chevy Blazer. The past owner smoked in this car and it had burn marks all over the place. This came out to be a really good looking interior, minus the cars and worn plastics. I really enjoyed detailing this car and I hope you enjoy it as well!

Nice work! They built those pretty solid back then. I struck gold when I came across a loaded Blazer in a junkyard. I stripped the interior and now have 8 way power, heated leather seats and driver info system overhead console in my 2000 Blazer. Think I spent $200 total. Def worth it!

That's definitely gold! What I would do is when I get money, I would love to do an engine rebuild and an interior rebuild. I want to fix the sun damage areas by just repainting the entire car and just get everything nice and operational. There is some electrical issues as well with my car but with that, I'll be fixing that as well. I really like this car and I would love to dump some money into it. It's not that bad. Horsepower wise, it can be better if you catch my drift ha! Thank you so much for watching!

These carpets are a real nightmare to clean up, at the country I live it may be better off just replacing for a new one... There's a nice technique called retrobrighting that may work on those yellowed panels(?) Nice video by the way! Keep it up!

You went to town on that Blazer the results are terrific 👍🏻 I wonder how much money that type of work done to a Blazer would cost? detail job.

Thank you! I remember how good it looked afterwards. Honestly, how much it would cost, depends on the type of vehicle, how bad the inside is, and the condition of everything. If I would have done this for money, it would have been roughly $300 or so because of how bad it was and the smoking part would be why it's so high. Been poking around online...been wanting to get a mid 90's Blazer...Nathan from Fast Lane channel did a video on a 1996 S10 2 door model, and he said it hold up well....I wouldn't mind a cheap truck to fix up....from what I know, most 90's GM cars are easy to work on.

i drive a 99 4 door and they are nice if you can find one that isnt entirely rusted out

@@jud3734 yeah, finding a clean older one is hard....I wouldn't want one from the 70's or 80's.... people want top fucking dollar for those...I feel like one from the 90's would be more reliable and safer in a sense. Plus parts are easier to find. I currently drive a 2010 Elantra...I wouldn't get rid of it...just have the Blazer as a 2nd vehicle for trips and Lowe's runs.

These S10 vehicles aren't that bad. My only issue with the blazer I have is the engine because it has so little horsepower. I would rebuild the engine to get some more horses out of it but of course, more horsepower, more gas on top of other things. Thank you so much for watching!

I just got a 01 blazer 4 door 4x4 for 400 dollars. The guy thought the transmission or rear diff was about to go out, and it was blowing white blue smoke. Turns out the grinding sound was from 2 different sized wheels on the back. And the smoke stopped on its own on the 75 mile way home. I feel like i stole this thing. It's amazing. So far I've only vacuumed all the standing built up dirt and pulled out the failed attempt of a custom sound system. Gonna odor bomb it and change the oil next. The tire and other stuff like replacement air vents and getting proper detailing stuff like you have will have to wait 2 weeks for my next check. Speaking of which, what's the spray bottle and drill brush you're using?

That's awesome! I would recommend bringing it to a professional mechanic to get a full list of what's wrong with the car before you put some time and money into the car. My blazer was pretty solid set aside from the mileage giving an error message and the A/C not working. We sold it a year or so ago and I do miss the little Blazer. I would get one again and make it a fixer upper for sure. I wouldn't odor bomb it just yet! I would clean the carpets, and if the seats are fabric, do that too. It will also help if the seats are leather, you clean them and condition them. I would clean the roof liner too but you risk it pealing off so I wouldn't do that, then you can odor bomb. With vacuuming, you did like 70 to 80% of the job already because it looks better! Shampooing carpets and just cleaning the plastics properly helps with getting rid of some of that odor you have. I did the Meguiar's New Car Scent Odor Bomb in my Tahoe and it lasted for a few weeks. I would get it again because it's a really nice smell! My Tahoe smells like crayons in a way and it's weird. I've tried everything I can think of to get rid of that smell and in a way, it's gone because when I first got the car, let's just say the windows was down for most of the time before I cleaned the Tahoe. I don't use a specific spray bottle other than the spray bottle that comes with the products I used but the pump sprayer, I got at Walmart then the Drill Brushes is from Amazon I believe. Keep me updated, I'll like to know how good your car will turn out! I hope this helps and thank you so much for watching! Make sure to subscribe for more! It's coming soon!

@@matthewrivera9361 lol. Crayon Tahoe. 🖍 but yeah I could keep you updated. I really want to make fix and flip videos but I'm terrible on camera in many ways and not even knowledgeable of what I'm talking about. Like chrisfix or buddy's diy. They're so professional and smart. They know every little trick and make a list in order of importance to fix, then go through that list and fix everything while teaching the car's history or little mechanic's tips along the way. All while the camera is perfectly still in the perfect spot with perfect lighting, and just agh. I can't match that. People say they'd be interested in more car content like that and if I was one of the ones that did it. But would they really be though? I'd have to have someone else voiceover for me, and be the smart mechanic guy that holds my hand through everything. I'll happily split profits. I want to have a very respectable car lot some day with unique services like life time service discounts at our shop, cheap recolor to whatever they prefer, interior modernization, and even customization like sound systems, body kits, etc. Then also one day have a private test track, pick a part salvage yard, and demo derby arena

And how does the carpet dry after cleaning?

Air dry. I left the windows open on a crack and it was humid at the time so it dried pretty fast. Thank you so much for watching!!

I personally can't remember. My parents brought the car and passed it down to my sister and I. I would roughly guess above $5,000 or so. I have no clue honestly. Thank you so much for watching and don't forget to subscribe for more!
