This is such a great set up! I have an 01 Astro that I’m looking to set up and I keep seeing Ford Transit and others but not enough Astros! (I guess it makes sense since they stopped making them) Thanks for sharing! And would love some tips or guidance from you directly when you could make the time :)

I've been thinking of getting an Astro, what are things to be aware of/look out for on these vans? Such as the plastic intake manifold. Also, would it make sense to look for a gladiator hightop version or is it not worth it. Nice setup!

This setup is amazing. I too have an 05 astro cargo van but I do pressure washing for sidewalk/driveway and home siding. I want to do a setup similar to yours but for home exterior cleaning, what size water tank you have in there? The one in the back and also the one in the middle seat

Thank you! It really makes things more efficient to have everything neat and organized. The larger tank is 100 gallon and the smaller one is 25 gallon

Yes I had to install air ride air bags and they work great.

I have two pressure washers and two DI tanks . They have bypass valves so I can just turn the DI tanks on when I need spot free water.

Super Pro Set Up! If you don’t mind me asking how did you start and what was your budget if you had one?

I started detailing over 8 years ago out of the trunk of my car.. every thing I made I put back into the business until I could afford the next best thing for my business. I’ve gone through several set ups and configurations and have had a couple different vans as well. I really love this set up . You can start detailing on a very minimal budget and minimal supplies.

What did you use for the pressure washer reel? Did you just use an air compressor hose reel?

No, they are made for pressure washers . Up to 3000 psi . I’ve tried air hose reels but they fail fast because they aren’t meant for high pressure

Yes because I run two kranzle pressure washers at the same time. Also when I’m doing interiors I have someone working with me I have two vacuums and air compressor running along with extractor. They are smaller and easier to manage than the larger generators and more efficient on gas

Thank you! Yes I can fit everything I need to do just about any detail job . That is one reason I chose to have two separate generators because if one goes out I still can run most everything on the other generator. I have two other spare generators as well!
