My favourite bit about this video was the ‘excuse the barking dogs, they will be shot shortly’ 😂😂 Top sense of humour 💪🏼 Do you know of many women doing window cleaning? I wanted to get started but I am a bit timid, not because I couldn’t handle it, but more for payment collections and what not! Any advice would be greatly received!! Love the vids!

I know of 3 female window cleaners and they all do a roaring business. Women are received well by customers im this industry. Better than big burly boys anyway. Customers seem more relaxed around a lady. If you want a job give us a call. 👍

Disagree slightly about zero detailing, I use a god eared Wagtail and it’s so much quicker than a standard squeegee, as for closing to the side, it’s fine when the windows have protruding seals but on windows that don’t have them it’s better to close out at the bottom. I agree about Unger Rub Out, it’s superb stuff and worth every penny 👍🏻

I am trying to start earning money as I am only 12 so I thought of window cleaning for some reason but thanks learnt a lot 👍🏻

Good for you mate. Got my first weekend job at 12 but that was a long time ago. Never discount window cleaning as you get older. It's a booming industry.

scourers are commonly used by so many cleaners and window cleaners but you have to be careful using them on painted surfaces like sills because you scour away slowly, the paint which is a barrier to rain, dirt etc. You can try an alternative like the doily scrubby things used to scrub showers/ body s scrubbers because they are not course and the act of scrubbing against any surface dislodges any dirt. Just a suggestion

It would probably take a couple of hundred years to get through the white on a plastic sill with a green scourer

Do you like the unger washers with the scrubber on one side ,I always order them ,give the window a soak and scrub with the other side.Always worth paying £10 for a new one every month for the time it saves.Ok after watching I take that as a yes as you have one with a little bit on the end.

You are right - I do - those little scrubbers can be a life saver.

Hi mate, nice video, I am windows installer, but I quite had enough if it. So I have started my own business conservatory&window restoration. At the moment I.am doing on day Rate £150. Reason is I am not sure how to price the job, can you advise? Please Thanks Alton

Industrial steam cleaner twice as quick or not?
@Darren-Green3 жыл бұрын
Not in the slightest Anne. First you have the (vast) expense of an industrial steam cleaner, and usually to use such tools for upper floor work you need a cherry picker as well. The key reason this is not a 'fast' thing, is because I am talking to you. If it were me just plugged into my headphones in work mode this takes less time than it would to set up a pressure washer, steam cleaner etc. The house would be finished and onto the next job before your machine was at operating temperature most likely.

I've got Red PVC windows, and the Unger comments say to only use it on white. Any ideas on what I could use?
@Darren-Green2 жыл бұрын
Personally I'd just try a test patch. I used it on white and brown without issue. Also in a jam you try some TCut

Nice video but where I live if I asked someone for 25 pound a window clean I think they call the police for me scamming them wow 25 a full house be what i get paid
@Darren-Green Жыл бұрын
Listen again, that was either £25 for the house, or the conservatory, not just one window. I don't know how you define 'scam' where you're from, but where i'm from if I say £25 per window Sir, they can either say 'that's a deal' or they can say, 'jog on' -- it an offer of services for an agreed price, no one has to accept the terms, but it's certainly no scam, and if they did call the law i'd be inclined to ask for a charge of wasting police time.

Hi mate, brilliant video as usual, do you tell customers if they ask that you use fairy or do you tell them you use a professional product? 👍
@Darren-Green6 жыл бұрын
Ben Williams just tell them it's soap. I tend not to get dragged into conversations about what products are used.
