First cleans north west of Liverpool first cleans depending on the size of the property and what areas your working I would say first clean prices I would say if your charging £15.00 for the house you should be able to charge around the £30.00 mark for first clean depending on the size of the property and of course the most important how well of area your working

Hi Darren, Do I need to swap brushes to a clean brush after using the Ubik, or is a rinse at the end of my cleans good enough if I use the same brush?
@Darren-Green4 жыл бұрын
As the bristles are usually a nylon base they rinse off really quickly and easily, When I have UBIX on my brush I just keep scrubbing till the bubbles stop - then I know I am pretty much there and ready to clean windows.

De-ionised (purified). You want to strip everything possible from the water so nothing remains to stick to the glass.

I want to switch to a WFP. However I'm scared it just can't get the dirtiest windows clean. I'm talking the dirty windows that take scrubbing with wool and razors. Most of the windows I clean haven't been cleaned in 10+ years!. Will the WFP get-r-dun? Do you charge extra for a 1st clean?
@shinecitywindowwashing47455 жыл бұрын
No it will not always do a god job if the window is scummed up with thick water stains etc. Its not always as easy as looks on you tube. I do like my water fed system thow.

I ve been a traditional window cleaner for 15 years but have been using WFP for the last month now.I've noticed on some windows i get a milky residue drying in the centre of some windows.Any idea what would cause this and how to avoid it happening in the future?? I always clean them again if i notice it while im still there but have been called back to 1 or 2 the following day for this issue!!
@Darren-Green6 жыл бұрын
DOTSYirl it is usually where the frames have been previously cleaned with a cream cleaner like Cif for example and then not rinsed off properly. Still happens to me on occasion just deal with the call back politely and know that by clean #2 they will be fine.

Are things that much cheaper outside of the US? I'm charging $200-$600 per home depending on how many windows they have and that's just washing the glass, nothing else. I couldn't possibly imagine making $55 per job.
@Darren-Green5 жыл бұрын
No a house that size was a one-time clean it would be closer to £200 full stop the first clean charge is only £45 because we will be cleaning that property regularly for approximately £15 per month thereafter . in the UK windows cleaned monthly or bi-monthly on average

Do you squeegee off after? How do you avoid water marks?
@daithiocinnsealach19826 жыл бұрын
Water fed poles use pure water. There is no residue in the water to leave marks with. The water evaporates and leaves behind a sparkling window.

Why do i leave drip marks?
@Darren-Green3 жыл бұрын
If you mean drip marks after it's dried then there's two possible scenarios. A: You aren't scrubbing and more importantly rising thoroughly enough amd there's still a degree of dirt particles that arent completely rinsed off. B: Your water isn't at 000 on the TDS and this is causing spotting. Hope this helps.
@Davez20233 жыл бұрын
@@Darren-Green That was so helpful Darren thanks! I use spotless water filling station so it is 0tds. It must be my scrubbing. Thanks alot 👍
@Darren-Green3 жыл бұрын
@@Davez2023 no problems -you may also find a pair of Polarized sunglasses will help you see odd spots and bits of dirt you missed more easily - And not to cast and dispersions but do be sure to double check the TDS of the water you buy, you never do truly know.

£45-50 for a first clean job? Wow I wish I could get away with charging that kind of money for a first clean. Here up in the North East I'd be lucky to be able to ask for a tenner!
@Darren-Green6 жыл бұрын
deltafit You dont get it cause you dont ask. When I started in Nottingham a so called pro told me I wouldnt get £5 per house (3 bed semi) I got what I asked for (average £15) I know lads all over the North that charge more than I do. I promise you the only reason you dont get more is cause youre not asking for it.

using that spray would make about 5% difference, not worth it! to be honest just use pure water,it will save you time ive been doing window cleaning all my life and using sprays etc is a total waste of time...unless its really badly stained then i would consider it otherwise not worth it...save your money

Then it's a life wasted. If you believe the difference is only 5% well then enjoy your UFO sightings as well.
