Nice. Bet that water was cold. You did better than my two bits for a total of .19 for a few hours detecting with my 6000 & Goldhawk coil yesterday arvo. I also got a .03 bit. A deadly combination for that creek style detecting. Good to see you back out there. :)

Cheers John yes was a bit fresh that's for sure , coil goes pretty good is the second one I've had first one failed due to water damage after a few trips covered under warranty so all good be good to try the small nugget finder coil if they ever bring it out , any gold is good all adds up can't beat that thrill of the dig 👍

depends which area you are in, where i go is in Otago area only real places to go that are legal in that area i would recommend is Arrowtown public area or 12 mile public area have had some pretty good days in both in the past, there are others to try as well or if your lucky enough to have access to a private claim
