Really poor policing by the female officer in Olivia's case. When they first approached, the male officer instructed her to go non-lethal while he kept his gun out, which meant she should've immediately had her taser ready to incapacitate Olivia, but instead she carries on casually with no weapon drawn while the armed women is coming towards them and the male officer is shouting at her to use her taser. Unfortunately resulted in lethal force being used because of a useless officer did do what she should've been doing.

I had that happen in the middle of a code when I was a nurse. hit my “funnybone” and passed out from the nerve pain. I felt terrible when I came to a few moments later because my physical reaction caused attention to be taken from the critically ill patient. Feel certain the cop felt the same way. It is entirely involuntary physical reaction. Have seen it happen multiple times in ER…. With cops, paramedics, nurses and doctors.

Whenever I hear DV victims defending their abusers, it breaks my heart. This woman literally just had you pinned to the floor by your THROAT, and you're running after the cops begging them not to taze her. It breaks my heart even more when men are victims because they're so much less likely to report. Even in THIS CASE, despite the fact that the man admitted be was attacked, and a witness saw her attack him and specifically noted that he did nothing back, she WASN'T CHARGED with domestic violence. And in most jurisdictions, police don't need the victim to press charges in order to do so. Another time where a man who is a victim of DV was shown no justice. At least she got arrested, but she'll be right back out and beating his ass again in no time. So sad.

Unfortunately the police still have to think of the people around and their safety. People having psychiatric conditions and issues can be a danger to others. Not saying it’s right but they are to make momentary decisions and unfortunately that one turned deadly. Just like the one going towards the officer with a knife. It’s unfortunate and we cannot know the 💯 full story from that tiny clip. Could be wrong, it could’ve been justified, I don’t think there was enough for anyone to know for sure.

In the case of Alivia Schwab, I hope the female officer either quit or was fired. She delayed her actions, even after she was instructed to use her taser. LEOs should be able to assess a situation, be prepared for the unthinkable and to respond accordingly. She may have caused the woman’s death by hesitating to make a prompt decision to help her partner out. If she had tased her and caused Ms Schwab to fall, those seconds would have given the other officer time to take control of the knife. Ms Schwab had been threatening to kill herself and may have been wanting LE assistance but LE didn’t have to make it so easy for her. If stopped by being tased she could have received treatment, medication and become a successful person (an officer would not be living with guilt). Or her attempt to kill herself may be successful one day. Now we’ll never know.

In the second case at 2:35 (Jamie Feith), this one was strange. Not only was it very odd for her to pull out a knife while several cops have guns aimed at you, but she was also smiling the entire time. I noticed she was still smiling after she was shot the first time. And still refused to drop the knife after being shot. I’m assuming maybe drugs? I’m glad that it’s under investigation, but I think it’s pretty clear where this is going to go. She brandished and would not drop a weapon. There are still shots in many articles of the entire video and she is smiling the entire time. Again, even after being shot. Maybe a mental defect? But if she wasn’t feeling it, guessing drugs.
