I love my Fishers, I have two of the old Impulses and now a CZ and have made lots of money plus Gold, My impulses are old, but still work like the day I got them. You can't go wrong with the CZ.

Loved my CZ-20 but the cord to the coil dry rotted. (It still works amazing but is no longer waterproof) Just ordered this one as a replacement! Wondering how I can treat the cord so as to not have it get dry and crack apart! Shame Fisher will not honor the lifetime warranty that it came with.

I hear you about the mesh bags, I came out of the water once and the gold chain that I had found was hanging halfway out, I was lucky that I did not have to go back a look for it or somebody else picked it up

Love this video!!!!! I need a water machine, the At Pro I've got is not cutting it. What should I get! Fisher or Minelab? Thumbs up!

There are three discriminating salt water machines I really like when wading: The CTX, CZ-21 and Pirate Pro. I used to use the Excalibur until the CTX came out. Any of these machines will work for you. If you hunt a beach with little iron trash, you may want to look at PI machines because they go deeper and are more sensitive especially on low conductive gold targets. Carter

awesome video, thanks for sharing. I've been unsure which machine to buy the CZ21 or the excal 2

Greets from Austria. Got myself the cz21 this after much success with yhe cz20. I've actually used both more on land than water and had some fantastic finds here. Just an all round great machine! What country are you searching in?

Thank you, that looked quite exhausting work. Do you ever peg out a line to keep you on track?

In a "jump area" like this one, where signals are on top of one another, I don't rope off an area. I do have fluorescent line that I have used with spikes to help guide me in certain areas and it does help.

I know this is an older video now, but I have a question on the settings if you remember. I have a cz21 on order and was curious. When diving do you just use the preset settings? Do you have to ground balance after you jump in the water? Or just turn it on to preset settings and go? Thanks
@DetectorComparisons
@DetectorComparisons 2 жыл бұрын
It was just preset and go. You may have to turn down the sensitivity if the area has high salt content.

Is the cz21 loud underwater? I've tried my CTX (way to quiet) and Im using a whites pi dual field and it's not extremely loud either. Was considering, fisher cz21, Excalibur 2, or a Tesoro sand shark. What's your thoughts? The bubbles cause a lot of noise and I can't hear over them. I'm in San Diego and wear a 7mm hood. That may be making it tough also. Thanks
@DetectorComparisons
@DetectorComparisons 7 жыл бұрын
I hear the CZ better than the Duel Field underwater. The Excal is also loud enough. 7mm is a thick hood. I use a 3mm and a 7mm only in very cold water. With a 7mm, it is harder to hear for sure. You will notice I try to pace my breathing because the bubbles can be loud and if you're not carful they can also take off your headphones

Why did you change from the Excal 2? I am torn between the CZ-21 and the Exca so can you give me any tips on the best machine?
@DetectorComparisons
@DetectorComparisons 9 жыл бұрын
BVI Hunter It all depends on the type of hunting. The Excal goes a little deeper but the CZ-21 is better at separating targets in iron areas like dock sites. I use them both.
@jomon723

BVI Hunter I have been hunting for many years with underwater Fishers and have had no problems with the units, They both go deep, but underwater I am sure they both would pick up the same targets where there is not as much as much of a depth problem as on the beach. I would take the Fisher any day of the week.

when you are diving near piers, and docks on the ocean, do sharks and other dangerous fish ever come around ?

I know this is 8 yrs old, but I couldn't resist- with a name like mike "sharkey", I'd almost think you were kidding LOL. In MY experience tho, in South Florida, while underwater detecting, fish do tend to gather at times. Some spots, all depending on the types of fish in the area, they'll kinda spectate a bit- especially the younger small barracuda. It's not uncommon near one bridge I frequented near the mouth of a local inlet, to have had half a dozen or more in packs of 2-3 fish observing as if I were holding court LOL. They'd sit still in their curiosity, only moving enough to offset the current... eventually darting off. I did have a big guy that would follow me up and down the jetty and in a shallow kiddie swim area for hours way back when. I kinda got used to his snaggle-pussed toothy grin. He'd always have his mouth just opened a little bit, enough to see those razor-saw rippers and that made me a bit uneasy. He WAS well over a meter and a half(probably about 60"/5 feet) in length and easily as big in diameter as my thigh. I'd ALWAYS be certain to take extreme care with ANYTHING shiny I'd come across. You see, any locals were taught from a very young age, 'when swimming at the beach or in any saltwater area, to remove your jewelry, etc. before going for a swim, surfing, hydro-sliding/skiing, snorkeling or diving as predatory fish were rumored to have a high affinity for the shiny sparkle and movement of the jewelry. Not certain if it ever made a difference or not, but not too many of us ever really tested out the theory way back then. I will say I'm happy most folks either don't know about that theory or just don't buy into it, but as a 'detectorist' I can say 100% that it is a bunch of BS... and to ALWAYS keep the stuff you are wearing on you when taking part in these activities, because it's safer and won't get left behind or ripped off by some beachcombing crackhead. Rest assured, if it's lost, you won't get it back in all likelihood, but know that there is a good chance you are helping out someone that has devoted a good bit of time to learning the art that is 'metal detecting'! Peace to you and yours, Mr Sharkey LOL
