I’m sure a lot of young people do it; not realising the traumas they will see and the visible or invisible scars it leaves them with. There’s a reason you’ll see in war propaganda that everything looks cool and patriotic, same thing goes for war simulators like DCS or Arma. No young person would want to join up after seeing the true horrors of war and the reality they’ll actually face. Unless obviously they have other reasons, like carrying on a family legacy or wanting to do more than what they’re doing at the time.
