How I Trained to Get Into The Royal Marines

I suppose it’s only natural to assume what a typical Royal Marine should be, or would be in most people’s minds, which is an understandable stereotype. The main attributes of a Marine is someone who can make the best of their current situation. The ability to not only operate in a possible scenario where you are freezing cold and have been for a good while. Fatigued, hungry, and under duress. The odds are that you are carrying some sort of injury that would inevitably result in you stopping whatever you are doing under normal circumstances. The need to remain switched on and not allow your professional standards to drop, but to do it with a smile on your face and retain your sense of humour. You’re not doing anything that hasn’t already been done before and it’s certainly not the last time a Marine is going to be in your place. The world doesn’t revolve around you and you’re just a part within a much bigger machine that requires every part to function like all the other parts. It’s easy to be a Marine. You just do as you’re told and do it to the best of your ability, which you already have done on numerous occasions, so you have no excuse.

Thirdly, you have a lot of different people the World over, however in a white Christian Country certain people are not native. It is the same as white people in South Africa.
