Good video, more complex than it needs to be. You can simply just reduce the leading coefficients. x-3 / (x^2 +3x - 1)^1/2 - redefined x / |x| - reduced the leading coefficients... x-3 = x now... (x^2) * ^1/2 = |x| because its a radical compare the reduced function to our a/b rules since a^n / b^m exponents are equal you follow the rule of n==m. the limit is now a/|b|... or (x/|x|) plug in a negative number... -5 -5 / |-5| = -1 limit for -infinity = -1 plug in a positive number... 5 5 / |5| = 1 limit for +infinity = 1
