You can't. That would not be a binomial. If the powers were the same though, you would just add them up and make it a binomial again, but if the powers are different, thats not binomial, thats trinomial.

Lol it exist , x^0 is equals 1 so then x^0y^6 equals y^6 (the very last term) as for the coefficient , because it's the last term you should be able to guess it as (4y)^12 which is 4^12y^12 (Just try checking it with quadratic expansion , the first term and the last term have their coefficient always multiplied by 1 and also raised by the highest power)

Although I am 4 years in tardiness, perhaps I could be of assistance. By using the same method as Sal to find the binomial coefficient, we result in obtaining (3x)^0 x (-4y)^6, and since any term raised to the zeroth power is 1, we are left with (-4y)^6. Next we can distribute the power of 6 to the -4 and y to get 4096 x y^6, and to find the binomial coefficient of this 6th term without using the pascal triangle, (12-6) is = 924, and multiplying that by the sixth term, the final resulting binomial coefficient with the y ^6 term is 3,784,704 x y^6.

I think in this equation there is no coefficient for x^0y^6 since the equation is (3x-4y)^12 then x^0 exists when y^12 so I think the question is wrong

I Have a question here where I have to find the coefficient of x^6y^3 in the exapnsion (x+2y)^9 and by your method I am getting 10x^68y^3 but that isn't the answer. Real answer is 672. How ?

Thank you so much. Just a little a correction for the end of this video, When you pulled out the calculator, you did 270*36 but you should have done 2700*36 which would have given you 97,200
