Dennis "MotMot" Matibag passed away on my birthday (January 21st). Also, I was a couple of weeks old when Paul Baloff passed. He passed on February 2nd, 2002. I was born on January 21st, 2002. Chuck Schuldiner passed about a month-ish before I was born. Also, Death (especially Chuck), Nevermore, Sanctuary, Mayhem (especially Dead), Metallica, Bathory, Bolt Thrower, Judas Priest, Obituary, Sodom, Exodus, Gojira, Carcass, Vader, Coroner, Evile, Cancer, Atomkraft, and Venom are some of the many bands/musicians that got me though some of the rough times I had in my life.

Not most of Loudness. The singer, guitarist and bass player are still alive and in the band today. The original drummer and a couple bass players they had for a short time are gone.

I did not look at all the comments so it might have been mentioned but Helloween's original drummer Ingo Schwichtenberg died by commiting suicide by jumping in front of a s- train in 1995. He was schizophrenic. He was an amazing drummer and he played on most of Helloween's greatest albums especially both Keeper Of The Seven Keys Part 1 and Keeper Of The Seven Keys Part 2.

Didn´t know Randy Rampage passed. Met him and a band member at a restaurant in San Francisco in 2013. They were sitting at the table next to me and I overheard their conversation about hockey. Once they realized I was a huge hockey fan from Stockholm, Sweden, they invited me to join them. We had a bunch of margaritas and talked hockey for a couple of hours. I was never a fan of Annihilator so I´d never heard his name before. He told me he had a new band, punk style and they were playing at a festival a couple of days later. He asked me if I wanted a ticket but I declined since I was on a road trip and we were headed out the next day. Such a nice and cool dude! R.I.P. Randy!

Wow! I admit that I am only (and sadly) familiar with about 10 to 15 of these Metal soldiers and trail blazers of dominant sound and presents. To all those who have came before us and some with us, you are the absolute epiteme of telling the world whose the boss of you even if it meant losing their lives in pursuit of the ultimate heaviest most expressive parent hating sound that could be. the one here that depressed me the most is Martin Ain . he was not a drinker or smoker from what I know. I think it was from his weight.?? maybe it ran in his family too -heart troubles. im a big C.Frost fan,..
