Very clever. Looking forward to trying this. So glad you tried the color palette from image thing. It's so handy, especially if you have a complex image where it's harder to isolate colors. Plus I think it saves a certain number of your recent ones, so it's easy to pull up.

Thank you. Iv'e been watching your videos and i love your method of teaching. Could you work on a step by step print viedo that can be printed so I could practice on it off line? I know this would help me.

A step by step print video that can be printed? Tell me more. Are you talking a PDF? What would you want to see on the PDF?
@eva_p Жыл бұрын
Great stuff, will try this now. When I saw the title of this video, I thought you would create the shape first and put coloured stripes into the shape. Also could you evenly space them vertically using the spacing tool rather than eyeballing the gaps?

That's a great idea! Thanks for the tip

Hi Juna. Nice tutorial. Do you have an Affinity Designer tutorial on how to design the all-over-print shirts that aren't just repeat patterns, but almost like a yakuza dragon tattoo where the image from head to tail seems to be wrapping around the body? If not, any chance something like this might be in the works? My fingers are crossed. Cheers
@DetourShirts Жыл бұрын
I haven't done a full body shirt... I have done other all over print stuff on RedBubble and it's just best to have a repeating pattern
@zinnie6420 Жыл бұрын
@@DetourShirts Hi again Juna... I already have a bunch of repeating pattern type stuff (I did your tutorial on patterns a few months ago - thanks for that one by the way). But it just seems like there's so many patterns out there, that I was hoping to try something different (as well as something that would push my Affinity capabilities to the next layer - hihi pun intended). I saw a bunch of the all-over graphic tees on Society6 and got inspired by them, but don't know how to get the "continuity" of a subject to flow from hem, to torso, to collar, to sleeve, to back etc. Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself, but I am determined to attempt an all-over design in the future. Nonetheless, thanks for the recommendation Juna. Peace

OK great. How do you export each element, so that they're PNG but still white in the lines in between the blocks of color?
@DetourShirts Жыл бұрын
If you want white lines in between that's a totally different way... I would probably draw in the white lines.... Why do you want the white lines?
@brucemerrian5749 Жыл бұрын
@@DetourShirts I guess I don't want the white lines. I did it in PNG and it looks great. Thanks for the help. You're awesome!👍👍👍👍

You’re really an awesome teacher. 👏🏻👏🏻 Question: are we allowed to use lyrics as captions? I would have thought that’s trademark or copyright violation.
@DetourShirts Жыл бұрын
I would stay away... unless it's a parody then you are fine... but the exact same words as the lyrics I would stay away
