AS ALWAYS, very helpful tips!!! 🐐👏🏽 But if I may, for those of you who experience excessively itchy/flaky scalps, do not...I repeat DO NOT sleep with a wet covered scalp. Sometimes "dandruff" is just a little dead skin flaking off but MOST of the time it's either an increase in your scalp's fungal flora and/or your immune system reacting to the yeast by increasing cell turnover. (Sometimes this is manifested as seborrheic dermatitis or it can be unrelated psoriasis, eczema, etc.) Either way, a wet covered scalp can and will worsen your symptoms. You wouldn't sleep in wet socks or wet panties, right? 😅 Same idea. You'd be creating the PERFECT warm/moist environment for your natural fungal flora to overgrow and have a party!! lol So yeah, don't do it, itchy scalp girlies 😫🫶🏽

Wao thank you for this, I was about to sleep with a deep conditioner on my next wash day, but I’ve been having an itchy scalp lately, did not though of this 🙌🏾

Also women should not go to bed with wet heads. About 25% of conditioner is absorbed. No need for an hour or two. Some people still do things from back in the past cause they ignore mew science.❤

Yes! I got diagnosed with seborrheic dermatitis 6 wks ago and 2 er visits later! My scalp was on FIRE & ITCHY! I didn't know wtf was going on. Mines turned into an infection bc I kept scratching my scalp and had to get on antibiotics. I'll never go to sleep with a wet scalp again. Crazy things is that it wasn't my first time going to bed with a wet scalp and I'm in my mid 30's. Guess my body (head) was like no more 🥴

I _really_ want to try that Ouai shampoo, but I have too many shampoos at the moment and for now I’ve banned myself from buying more 😂. I have a couple of questions: 1. What brand of rosemary water did you use while having the twists, or was it a DIY? 2. What’s the brand of the brown paddle brush you were using during the takedown/detangling process? Thanks.

✨Curly Chemistry on KZbin has a great video about scalp care, it's also not a long video. I love that nearly all the videos from the Curly Chemistry channel are no longer than 10mns-at least most of the ones i watch. I highly recommend if you are experiencing dry hair and scalp issues to visit Curly Chemistry channel from Black-American Cosmetic Chemist, Tonya Lane. She has definitely helped me and given great haircare education. She is also coming out next week with a haircare tea rinse product from her brand and is preparing to sell it. This tea rinse is her first haircare product, besides the digital products she offers. she believes tea rinses are the hidden gem in natural hair care and is a total game changer for scalp issues and dry hair. On her channel she explains the science behind haircare and products, teaches how to use them in your routine and offers good advice solutions for common issues. Hope this helps y'all

I see you left your mask in overnight, has it ever cause you hygral fatigue in your strands? I’m nervous to do it, I just usually follow the instructions on packaging.

Hello ladies. I'm a natural also and in my 40s and a couple years ago I noticed that my hairline is very light. Like an even light skin around my entire forehead near my hairline going from ear to ear...is this normal? Anyone else out there experience this? I notice it mainly on wash days and when I add my oils and style my hair it isnt as profound but still there. Blessings~

Yes! Always wash out hair masks after 30 minutes

Wash all your hair. Not just your scalp. Have to remove product build up on the entire length of the hair. Clean hair is the key to retaining moisture. Overnight conditioning not necessary. Fungus
