I feel one of the biggest things for hair growth is consistency and finding what works for you. What may works for me may not work for everyone and vise versa. We need to learn our hair and be gentle and consistent with it. Well done to you two ladies for your dedication to hair care and inspiring so many people. 👑👑

Sometimes, I feel my hair is so dry and/or knotted before a wash day that all of my hair will come out. Instead with a good conditioner and water, I can get back on track so easily. Plus, I agree with oiling the scalp. I did a big chop last November and everyone is amazed at how fast my hair is grown back. So I swear by using essential and carrier oils on my scalp and I don't have a problem with it clogging my pores.

My daughter double cleanses so she’ll use a gentle detox shampoo that cleanses her hair and scalp. Then she rinses and oils her scalp. Lets it sit and then goes in for her second cleanse a bit later. She has always double cleansed so she feels like this is not counterproductive. Scratching at your scalp even gently is not recommended by hairdressers or dermatologists.

Kelsey and Kendra are both professionals when it comes to haircare, they’ve been trained at a leading institute. So they’re always sharing what works for them (and their consistently healthy hair speaks for itself) as well as the clients they’ve cared for. And I know several other hairdressers who recommend a gentle scalp scratch. It’s great that you and your daughter already have a routine that works perfectly for you.

You should get the Kazmaleje Brush also. I detangle with their comb first, then the brush. They work great together. My final detangle is with my Felicia Leatherwood. I find the Kazaleje tools are more gentle for detangling and I use the Felicia Leatherwood for my fine detangling to remove the shed hairs. But I got the comb when you mentioned it before, I immediately ordered them from Target and have not regretted it!

Is it necessary to use so many different bottles of oil? Could it be just 1 oil blend in 1 bottle? I use most of the oils you mentioned combined in one bottle/mixture. It’s been working well but should I change for better results?

Hi This was a very much needed video for me. Even though my hair is very short this will work for me. I remember when I was young getting oil treatments in the salons and I feel we’ve gotten away from those conditions which was really simple and let the hair in good shape. I wanted to ask why do you let your hair airdry vs diffusing?

That routine would be wayyyyy too much protein for my hair. Protein based products instantly dry my hair out, and I had to clear my stash of so many products because of hidden proteins and hydrolyzed ingredients.
