This is probably so obscure that it’s not going to get plenty of views but I thought it could be something that loyal viewers might find pretty COOL! Well at least I thought it was excellent. I’m probably going to get plenty of dislikes just because of the thumbnail and title, not really sure how to avoid it though. I can feel the rumblings of the internet comment section already typing furiously that “THAT ISN’T KARA, you flipping’ clickbait butt-tard” even before this video goes up. The Kara in this video is a different Kara than Todd's purchased one. Todd's Kara was broken and repaired when he assaulted her. She was not a deviant but was infected by the virus/erroneous program at some point after being beaten by him and returned. The video Kara was disposed of and is the one found in the landfill of parts. She had enough time to unwittingly leak her virus to others where they then received the option to become deviants.

This is literally one of the most impressive examples of sound design adding to a story element. I LOVE that moment of sound returning to Markus. it's such a simple moment but SO powerful based solely on what they decided to do with the audio to further the understanding of the moment. Seriously one of the best games as far as score design and use of sound. Just the other day i was watching a comparison between choices in Ralphs house, and the entire time she's putting Alice to bed you can HEAR him in the other room scrapping Ra9 into the wall. I'm sure a lot of people didn't notice it but it's one of those things that really adds to the depth of the story and scene. it's sad to see that even just a few years later this game is showing a bit of age to it. It would be amazing to see a remaster with the next gen systems or a game that's maybe dealing with the same topic but in a different place in the world. i love this world they created and the stories they told with it.

All of those emotions and thought processes such as being able to feel Empathy and just being able to think for yourself in general would have had to already be in the programming of the Androids for this to occur, so I think it was more that the virus somehow unlocked or removed the shackles or blockages in the programming that would prevent these types of behaviors. The Androids basically have the completely programming of how a Human being normally acts on their own, and all of that would have had to be present. All of that couldn't possibly be caused solely by the virus alone. That behavior would have to be present in the programming to begin with. And that therein is what is so fascinating about Kamski's character as he had to have programmed that behavior in, so the question then becomes why did he do that? Is he actually wanting to cause an uprising? It's an intriguing thought.

When Marcus found the device he put behind his ear, it came from a broken android. It had to be uploaded to work and probably had damage done to it. Certain Frequencies were probably annoying and loud so some of the frequencies she sang were painful to him. The Lady Android sang Sakura a song of Spring before she died. Like all the other androids, she knew this song. Her voice had damage done to it so to Marcus it was an unpleasant experience.

David Cage wanted to explore what would happen to that AX400 after the short was made though, which lead to Detroit: Become Human being made. I’m completely convinced the Kara we play as is the Kara in the short film. In the game’s extras menu on Kara, it says that she has had MULTIPlE different owners before getting to Tod, she had some issues on the assembly line, and she told Alice that her name was Kara, that’s why Alice called her Kara. Her memory was reset when Tod broke her the first time. David Cage has even said in interviews that he was excited for everyone to see what that Kara is doing after all that time. For me, it isn’t even speculation anymore.
