If I were the owner, I’d be as creative and generous as imaginable to keep these coordinators and coaches. Treat the assistant coaches better than other teams’ head coaches
@robertmacdonald11028 сағат бұрын
I agree. All the coordinators are way above average. The Lions team and fans are experiencing the ultimate recession to the mean in terms of its Ownership, GM and coaches. The Lions have had groups of great players occasionally. But they've never had league leading coaching and drafting like they do now. Their closest brush with greatness is when Don Shula was an assistant in the late 60's. All else was average on a good day. If you take all the years of leadership deficiencies and added them up and the universe were to balance the sheet in one go you'd get what we have now. Owner plus team executives who not only unearthed a Gem Gm but paired him with a great Head Coach. Then they filled out the coaching ranks with more great leaders. And they're all speaking from one great vision. As a fan since the 80's I can't believe we're this good. Top to bottom. All of our due leadership comeuppance in one shot. Incredible.

100% worth investing in the kind of dynasty we have a chance to build with this coaching staff.

As much as I hate to say it, I get the vibe that Ben is ready. If you listen closely to what he is saying, I think he is prepping us all for the likelihood he is leaving. That being said, I do feel that Dan, AG and Ben have probably been preparing for this, as they are good guys and will want the Lions to still be successful after they leave. I think we all need to sit back and enjoy the last of the season and playoffs, as this coaching staff is most likely going to look different in 2025. I appreciate you all!

I think there is a string possibility he wants continuity for his young children. No salary cap for coaches. I think Shiela may keep them here

Glad to have iffy back he’s going to be huge for our defense in the playoffs. Blitzing him a few times a game will be really good for our defense.

I could care less if he has success or blows it elsewhere. What he should do is stay in Detroit and keep winning ships, otherwise he's the enemy. If he leaves, I hope he fails and comes back as our OC.

Why would Cincy fire their young offensive minded coach for another young offensive minded coach with less coaching connections to fill a defense staff? Cincy has no problems on offense.

Aaron Glenn is among the top head coach candidates for the New York Jets. I heard rumors that the Jets may look to interview both Glenn and Ray Agnew for their head coach and general manager positions.
@paulnicholas544911 сағат бұрын
@@Kruza923 after the crap that came out about the dysfunction with the Jets owner and the role of his family, anyone taking that job needs to seriously get paid as it sounds like it's doomed from the start e.g. Owners young son overriding GM and Scouts based on Madden scores.

Let’s not fool ourselves. The ONLY reason most of the defense is playing is due to injuries not because they earned it by beating out other starters . If we were healthy, they would be sitting on PS. It’s a testament to AG, the coaches and the PS group that the Lions are roaring. ONE PRIDE!

I mean, I get it the coaches want to go up against the best competition and Dan does it to but I can't stand when they hype up the other team players. They might not see these but our coaches hype up both teams like crazy.

It’s called edification. It’s the ultimate form of respect. This is a core ingredient in the Lions success. If you listen to Dan it’s always a positive take on what we did well and what other teams did well that caused us problems but he never gets negative because he’s edifying the opponents, not necessarily admitting they were better but giving them their credit. That’s why they say it’s about us playing our ball not our opponents.
