Let's not overstate the mobile quarterback thing. Every team has difficulty with dual threat quarterbacks, not just the Lions. The Lions play a bend but don't break defense. They will give up some yards, but they tighten up in the red zone, having the #1 red zone defense in the NFL. I have no doubt that Daniels will pick up some yards, but I doubt he will score enough against the Lions defense. On the other side of the ball, I don't believe Washington can stop all of the Lions weapons on offense. It is likely the Lions will play ball/clock control on Washington enough to limit what Daniels can do. Washington was a nice story, but it ends for them at Ford Field.

I 100% agree with you. Lions have had difficulty with mobile QBs even when they were at full strength. I still think the lions will tighten up in red zone and out score them but in-between the 20s I do think Washington may move the ball on us. I think the lions may get a pick or two. I don't think there's any question whether Daniels will get some yard rushing. But like Campbell said, what defense can stop that type of QB completely? The problem for Washington will be anybody else getting rushing yards. He is a chunk of their production. And their pass game is fair. They rank 17 I think. So middle of the pack. Nothing scary. But the real key is Detroit running the ball against this 28th ranked run defense. If we run, the Commanders won't have the ball enough to try to run. They'll be forced to pass and Detroit should be able to handle that pretty well against this team.

Jayden is going to cause us problems and get yards on the ground, no doubt. But we should hopefully still get the win. I've been saying for weeks that if we can't stop teams, in part because of our defense being decimated by injuries, then we just have to outscore them, which we can definitely do and put up points on anyone and everyone. Top scoring offense in the league is not a joke. Against the Vikings in week 18, I didn't think we would be able to stop their offense with JJ and all their other weapons, and figured we might have to score on about every drive. Then our beat up defense completely shut them down and didn't even allow a TD to that high powered offense. I don't think anyone saw that coming. Just gotta have faith that AG will have another good gameplan and the guys execute it as good as possible, and MCDC and Ben do their thing with their coaching and decisions. We're a bit healthier than we've been and will get some reinforcements, which should help. Go Lions!
