I've looped back around to thinking Witherspoon is the pick at 6 if Carter/Anderson/Richardson are all gone. After learning more about CJGJ, and him wanting to enter a mentor role, I could see scrap learning from scrap. We have the depth at corner right now to not have to force a rookie be the #1, but with his skill, he easily could become that guy opposite of Cam Sutton.

If the Lions drafted Will Anderson, it REALLY screws up your roster! Houston has no where to play! Pascal might have to get eating & rotate at DT.

​@frank ribble I agree. An embarrassment of riches at edge now that they brought back Charles Harris and Romeo Okwara on prove-it deals. They are formerly productive players that will be motivated to earn a new contract next year, here or elsewhere.

Scott be BOLD! I Loved your take on Will Anderson & your conviction on Darnell Wright. This might SHOCK fans, but both 1st round picks might not start & both 2nd round picks might start, at least in a rotation. Players I would start in the 1st: Bryan Bresee - thoughts? Bijan Robinson WRs you mentioned After a trade down at #18 Jack Campbell or DTs w an early 2nd round grade: Siaki Ika or Mazi Smith Positions I would draft & not start: OT, CB, QB(I prefer drafting a QB on Day 3 or maybe Hooker earlier.) My 2nd rounders: Jack Campbell LB Keeanu Benton DT Scott or others pick your favorite or your picks at #6 & #18 trades welcome. All these could be after a trade down to #11 1 Bresee Best available CB available at #18 2 Devon Witherspoon Darnell Wright 3 Skoronski Best CB available at #18

It makes you dizzy just thinking about it... The slight of hand Holmes will come out of the draft, answering many of these questions and we'll all say, "now I see what he's doing" and we'll all be gob struck with all the high performance in the right places he gets from his picks. As you alluded to, he is likely to pick anyone - most likely based upon best player available, at any of the assigned picks, even if it's a QB earlier than anticipated.

I know we want to beef up our Defensive line -- However the lions currently have 10 defensive lineman under contract Aidan Hutchinson -- Alim McNeill -- James Houston --- Julian Okwara --- Isaiah Buggs -- John Cosmiski -- Charles Harris -- Levi Onwuzunke --- Romeo Okwara -- Joshua Paschal -- Benito Jones Only 4 lineman play at a time ... How do anyone know for fact a new rookie in the draft would be better then what we already have .. Last year Paschal and Levi was MIA and our two Linebackers Rodriquez and Barnes are young and learning and should keep getting better. If the Lions don't draft any of 8 new players in the 2023 draft and we went with the same exact players from last season. I believe we still have enough dept to make the playoff. Especially after getting all those high quality defensive backs This Pre Season will be a WAR of survival to find the best 53 players. There will be some players getting CUT in August that will break your heart including those 8 draft rookies

i’m very for trading up to 3 and taking richardson because now we have filled the roster of the needs (except DT) and can move resources to trade up to #3 and get our qb of the future who has top 5 qb potential and this team with a top 5 qb idk a team right now that are in a better situation then mayyyyybbeeee the eagles in the nfc

AR at 6 is a risk but trading more high level capital to get him increases the risk beyond my comfort level. Get Hooker at 18.

6th pick will be a "bubba", leaning towards d-line/edge but the Northwestern Tackle wouldn't surprise me, if the Pitt d-line guy is still there at 18, i wouldn't be surprised if we doubled up!! corners, safeties or linebackers in the 2nd round.

I disagree with one thing David Montgomery will break off 50 yard runs because he did at times behind a bad o line with the Bears. And with the Lions O line Jamaal Williams had a bunch of one yard td runs those will now be 20 ,30,40, and yes 50 yard td runs David is fast, strong and Elusive and I won't be surprised if David Montgomery rushes 4 1500 yards or more with 19 or 20 td's

Scott trading up at # 6 is nuts. That's a Woodward Sports or similar take. Trading down at #6 and up or down at #18 would make sense.

I'm sick of the Anzaolne fans ...ok he's 28 had his best season but there was way better options at LB ..because even since we resigned Anzalone we still have a HUGE hole at LB , he doesn't upgrade us

Problem is he came off of a pretty decent season, AG trusts him, he knows the defense very well, he’s above average athlete, and AG and Campbell/Holmes have determined corner was the problem with the defense the last two years not LB. No matter what we think it’s what they think(know) is what ultimately matters. So far I have no reason to disagree with them. 🤷‍♂️

A better backup QB option may become available after the draft. Run with 2 backup rookie qbs and hope we have a San Fran result. DO NOT overpay for a vet backup qb. Hooker may be ready by mid season and get the UCLA kid to cover the front half of the season if needed. YES, draft 2 rookie QBS.

I still don’t understand how this guy shamelessly pushed Malik Willis before the draft last year. It ruined his credibility although still better then Matt dery the ad motor reader. Micro Mike and dose of Dion are more trustworthy at this point. Jamaal williams is a bum it’s great he’s gone--what is going on with this guys takes? And how does he not mention Okudah not making the opening day roster? It’s obvious- do better
