Stafford going to the Rams created the Brady effect from when Tom Brady signed with the Bucs and then all these other great players signed on after for a chance at a SB that was going to be played in their home stadium. Neither Tom Brady or Matt Stafford were dominant in their SB runs, but the supporting cast that came along with them made the difference. When Stafford went to the Rams all those great players came because of what they saw when Brady went to TB. It even had the same scenario of home-field advantage with the SB scheduled to be at SoFi. It is absolutely true that it was not Stafford that won them the SB, it was the hype and the clout from the trade that attracted great talent to jump on board to recreate what happened in TB. Those great players would have never came without the clout and the hype that came with the Stafford trade. Same as with TB after the win talent left after they got their trophy and both QBs had a similar 2nd season. The only difference is that Stafford was younger and will play longer in LA than Brady in TB, but all of the other circumstances surrounding both QBs were exactly the same with the same outcome. It wasn't just the QBs but great players deciding to go to the TB & Rams to build a super team like what LeBron did in Miami.

Not a huge Neal fan but couldn’t agree more with him on Stafford. He asked to leave and then penned a letter to the city like WTF! What a weird move in my eyes. Maybe a tweet would’ve been okay but a long letter to try and save his legacy in Detroit when he didn’t do shit but stack stats late in games is weak. And I was a huge Stafford supporter and invested heavily in his rookie cards and autographed memorabilia throughout the years. Good riddance.

@@jerryalexander8803 please don’t compare Grant Hill and his injuries to Matt Stafford and how important FOOTBALL is to the city of Detroit and how important a QB is to football. The most important position in all of sports. And you’re talking the “greatest” Lions QB of all time quitting on the Lions/fans after knowing the Lions history.(Barry & Calvin). This isn’t my opinion. It’s facts. Was just a grimy move to pen a letter like he accomplished something in Detroit instead of actually staying and accomplishing something.
