DPJ didn't blow it up in college like we all thought he would. He was supposed to be the man at U of M and he was overshadowed. We can blame that on scheme or whatever, but that's hard to overcome and he still made it into the NFL. Wish the best for him, but recent history shows us that he just isn't what he was expected to be. On a human level, I can only imagine what he's going through. We sit here on social media making comments and the guy is fighting for his job. Let's root for the guy, whether that's making the team or accepting that a long-term NFL career isn't in the cards and he moves on to the next.

we do also have sam laporta to, amon, jamo, and laporta will get most of the targets the wr3 is more meant as a final option or for a jump ball situation, but same laporta is also 6’3 and a bigger body

Never understood all this love for #19, Derrick. Did he go to Cass? Yes. You and I are both from the Westside. We know this. Did he go to Michigan? Sure. But, so did my sister and brother-in-law. I wouldn't be penciling either one of them onto my roster just because they're family. Let alone, *know* them. Too many Lions fans get attached and wonder why So-and-So beat out the OTHER cat for the spot. Sometimes, it comes down to Player X got outworked by Player Y. In camp. 🦁

If I'm trying to win a roster spot, I need to know what my position coach thinks about my performance. Not Tim Twentyman. If I'm wearing #19 in a Lions uniform, grew up in the City of Detroit and I went to Michigan, SOMEBODY has to do better w/ my coverage and how they *spell* my name. From the sounds of it, fountain might be the guy. He's the same height as the others, jumps higher, been doing better, weighs like 20lbs more than the others. Not Megatron but he is comparable to that kinda hype.

Define big body? Daurice Fountain and DPJ are both close to 6’-2” and over 200 lbs. DPJ also has elite (9.99) scores on vert & broad jump so the athleticism is there for him, but maybe there are some non-tangibles he’s missing idk 🤷🏽‍♂️
