Absolutely amazing. Railroads built this country and they on a roll again.

I worked on conrail 1998,99 I’ve worked in just about every place in Detroit at one time or another. Sterling, mound, mack, north, livernois, wayne, Lansing, rouge yards. Marsh track Great Lakes steel, oil refinery, gypsum mill, auto boxcars at lansing, been to the end of the line at sterling. I’ve seen more of Detroit industry than most. I’ve serviced a lot of places that probably don’t exist anymore. If y’all got any questions let me know

Used to be one on Detroit's southwest side along John Kronk Street between Livernois Avenue and Lonyo Street, but most of the tracks are removed many years ago. There used to be 20 tracks grade crossing on Central Street back in the 1960s, and it is crossing the busy railroad yard, but it is not a classification yard with no more then 40 tracks.

Amazing footage. Detroit's rail yards are much more interesting than the ones across the river.

Would have been nice to have some dialogue ( past and present historical knowledge ) added to this video for those of us that don’t know anything about it , still thanks, we CAN do our own research.
