Heard the plan was actually to bring it to the LCA but unfortunately the sound level of the horn violates league standards because it wouldn’t be loud enough to hear through the entire building. So the recording is what we’re stuck with unless if they just made a new horn altogether. Nowadays I got used to it but I still really miss the actual Buell Reed horn. Grew up with that.

New horn isn't even bad it's just very similar to the Panthers horn. Sounds nothing like the one at Joe's but has some of the same qualities.

@Max The Hockey Historian that’s not the only thing, the new building code for the city of Detroit in the area they were going to build LCA prohibited the use of the type of gas that these horns runoff of funny enough these are gas powered Horn’s not air so there was no way they could even be used without a breach of code
