I recently heard that folks were considering the demolition of Renn Cen! It's always been cold, removed, sort of Darth Vader looking. I remember going there when it opened in 1977. So, the city puts up one new building, only to remove this whole complex?! Seems crazy...especially considering the money it would take to demo it. Most post WWII buildings are uneventful and this one is no exception. Though, it still is a great example of its time. Hope it survives. And what happens if suddenly Detroit should need more office space...what then? They also demoed the next door Ford Auditorium in 2007(?).
