As an Art Deco lover, glad city leaders had the insight to not take a wrecking ball to those glorious buildings. We took the Q line there last summer to Garden Bowl (oldest in country). Lots of construction going on. Sad though that the city is getting gentrified. Then took the Q line back to our favorite---Buddy's Pizza. Next time there will ensure that we're there for the Guardian Building tour that FINALLY someone said is on Thursdays. The guards act like they don't know anything about the tours.

Hello Frankai, FYI. Saturday when driving by "The Mid" site (Next to the former Hammer and Nail building), it appears they have started site prep work clearing the former foundation work that sat abandon for years. I did read recently that construction on the latest Mid revised plan would start soon in the New Year.

All of the new apartment construction is cool, but did they include underground parking, or do the residents just have to find a place on the street to park?
