The world needs more men like you, Jeff Hobbs. I saw the movie and I wanted to know who you were so I looked you up and found this interview. I was hoping in my heart you were the author. The interview brought me to tears and gave me hope. I have been broken this week on the heels of the election and decided to watch the movie, which made me more sad. However your interview gave me some peace knowing that sometimes one person can make a difference. I believe your friendship with Robb Peace was God’s divine connection. Hold that close to your heart because you are making a difference. I will purchase your book and I will recommend it to everyone in my circle. May God bless you and your family immensely.❤❤

I watched the movie last night. This story needed to be told. Rob Peace’s movie has inspired me to be true to myself, not take life experiences for granted, but also to not let the problems of others put too much weight on my wings. Jeff Hobbs you were a true friend to document Rob’s legacy and you deserve much success; I pray you receive it. 🙏🏽

Idk why I didn’t watch the film sooner. It was in my playlist 😢 born and raised In Newark. Such a tragic. My kids father still out here in the streets. Sad how the streets suck these intelligent black men so unfortunate.

Just finished the movie. I plan to get the book soon. Such a glaring lesson on not taking on other people's weight....including family. Our hearts outweigh our ability to be rational at times. Such a trajic loss . Prayers for his mom and loved ones. God bless you Jeff Hobbs 🙏

He honored his friends tragic story-highly recommend this book 😞

He didn't honor anyone. He lied and embellished his story to sell a book and get his wife as executive producer of the movie. Huge money grab.

That's not even close to true... they def took a bunch of his hustling escapades and decreased how much of it was actually in his life. I mean he had a vacation spot in South America so dude wasn't broke. That's the only part of the book/movie i don't like. Was homeboy as ratchet as most from that part of Newark?? Nope. But was he as much of a saint as this story claims, prob not. But lets be honest. This was a professional hit squad so somebody/group wanted him dead. Not robbed and beat up and left for dead, straight up dead. There was over $50k of bud feet from where his body was found. Untouched. He must of been steppin on not just one of his rivals toes, he must've tried chopping someone off at the knees the way they hit this man and nobody has a clue who it could be. So, you're right as it was embellished a bit, dude WAS a very conflicted but stand-up guy. Very hard story if you think selling trees is no big deal. It def wasn't ever that big of a deal to me and mine. You must be hating a lil bit. This couldn't be THE Devin Carroll, could it be? @devincarroll256

What an awful thing to say. You are mean spirited, bitter and full of vitriol. This was a personal endeavour for Jeff which you know nothing about. So stop passing judgement on others as it is a poor reflection of you. Shame on you. If you have nothing nice to say then the least you can do is STFU!!!

Thaks Jeff Hobbs for bringing his story to life! I watched the movie and cried. I wish Robert Peace could have experienced the positivity he dispensed to others.

The movie was good, I knew that jealous snitch kid was gone be the end of him, u can have a brilliant plan but it’s always a dummy ready to ruin it for you & when his friend said,”the only way u can handle that problem is what u got in your hand” But Rob wasn’t a killer & unfortunately that rat got em killed. I wish he’d listen to his Yale friends his girlfriend & his Moms. I wish his Dad would’ve told his son to live his life cause his other friends told him their Dad wouldn’t allow em to risk their futures for him

Excellent book. Such an intelligent person (Rob) yet possibly felt undeserving of a successful life. My heart went out to his single mother who worked to support him and paid for his private schools throughout his 17 years.

The Ivy League has been transformed by Jeff Hobbs brillant narrative. Am confident beloved Robs (sadly Mr Peace was not the first nor the last) would be pleased with these efforts in their name. RIP

He lied and took advantage of Rob, his family and friends. He knows nothing about Rob and used this opportunity to get him a book deal he could get before. He's a failure living off his so called friends tragedy.

Might help to change the caption to correctly describe this book as non-fiction, NOT a novel. And then please read the book.

All I hear is that Rob had a lot of secrets that he took to the grave with him. He should have told his truth.
