⚡ 💕 / 💃 I was there for the world premiere of this song at the LA Forum. That's the footage that includes Momoko Okazaki on the octagonal stage. The rest of the footage has Riho Sayashi as the supporting dancer with a triangular stage. That part was shot in Japan at Osaka Jo Hall. Both stages are totally real with those enormous screens in the back, and were filmed with thousands of live fans. Tak Matsumoto played guitar on the studio track, which is the audio they used for this video. His band B'z is the highest selling artist in Japan, and one of the best selling worldwide. As Su mentioned in a recent interview, they were able to get all of their first choices for the guest artists on the latest album 'Metal Galaxy'.

Great to see how much fun you had with it! :-) Usually it’s the heavier songs that get the most love. Recently they often started their shows with this song (after the intro), and it does a really good job as an opener. The crowd already gets hyped when the lights get dimmed and suddenly when the screen comes on you see the silhouettes of the girls on stage. Then the driving beat of the music starts, and the fast paced video in the background adds to the relentless drive. You can’t help but jump and dance along with it. Then there‘s the cool stage with displays everywhere, which makes it seem like the girls are floating right in the middle of all that action. Pretty cool.

Great reaction! Yeah, I love the techno-metal sound too. This was the opening song (after a backing tape/video of FUTURE METAL while the kami band took the stage) on their Metal Galaxy world tour in 2019/20 and it certainly starts the show with a bang. Tak Matsumoto is the guitarist with B'z, who are the bestselling band in Japan and one of the biggest rock bands on the planet in terms of all-time record sales: 100 million, up there with the likes of Bon Jovi and Guns N' Roses. This isn't mentioned often enough, because B'z are relatively unknown in the west, but having Tak Matsumoto as a guest is like getting Eddie Van Halen or Slash. It's a big deal, not just because the guitar solo is perfect, but also because it's yet another nod of approval from a successful and respected elder statesman of the rock scene.

To be perfectly honest, I‘m a bit disappointed with it, although I don‘t like to admit it. The sound has been edited so strongly that it’s hard to even recognize as Moa‘s voice, and her English in this sounds pretty strange to me. And in the video it also looks strange, as it‘s not synchronous with her lip movements.

Hi, Detrucci. Thanks for visiting another Babymetal song. This one really is stunning visually. And a good dance song, too. I loved Moa's bit of rap, but was really surprised on how (relatively) deep her voice is here. Took me a couple of listens off the album before I was sure it was her. I hope you get to do more of the songs from Metal Galaxy (album). I was surprised by quite a few. One of them was Night Night Burn, another where I thought Moa really made a difference vocally. Also, apparently a song that had been originally from the time of Megitsune. This was fun. 👍 ✌️ 👋

This song is a tribute to Japanese EDM in the 1990's, which sounded a bit cheesy even in those days, so SU-METAL pronounces English words in the lyrics, "requiem," "serenade" and such, in Japanese accent deliberately.
