Anneke van Giersbergen is one of the best female metal voices. She was in The Gathering, a very diverse band that started as doom metal and ended as trip rock. I can recomend 3 songs of them played live at the 25th aniversary in Doornroosje: Strange Machines (symphonic metal), On Most Surfaces (Alrernative Metal), and their best song the masterpiece Travel (atmospheric rock).

Great band! The whole album containing this song is amazing BTW the female singer is Anneke Van Gierbergen (or something along those lines haha) from the Netherlands, she is a guest here, and was a heavy influence for Floor Jansen to become a metal singer.

Oh Wow Amorphis, I didn't know that they make still music. I listen to them in the 90s and saw them once live. Check out the song "Black winters day" it's my favourite from this time.

seen them a couple times, very very good. Good guys and Tomi is easily one of my fave vocalists. Anneke used to be the main singer for The Gathering and has done a lot of work with Devin Townsend.
