I love this game, but the boss fights are DISTURBINGLY bad. Whenever I finish a boss fight, I lose the desire to play the game for at least a week, that's how horrible the bosses are. Fuck.

You can literally end this entire fight in 10 seconds if you target Zhao with the fully upgraded laser gun u found in the chamber adjacent to the Namir Boss Fight Arena.

Another Way to do it You need: 1. Any Rifle with enough ammo 2. 3 EMP Grenades 3. High Jump Aug. Take cover, throw emp grenade at pod, shoot drone from afar. Rinse & repeat 3x. Then jump onto on of the high platforms, wait 2.5 min, walk up to zhao, shoot.

+Magisch I did it with a fully upgraded revolver, and all augs full maxed except the hacking analyze, hacking fortify, and rebreather. Just kill everything with the revolver and typhoon aug, and you can just stand in the electricity with the emp shield.

Deus Ex will always be better than Human Revolution, but not by any fault on the part of HR. HR is still a fantastic game, but even the most rabid fanboys of this game will admit to how much the endings and bosses suck. There was only one way to beat them, the lethal route. If you've been stocking up on tranquilizers and ignoring ammo, then you're fucked.

There's a few that could fit the bill, there's a series called "The Sprawl Trilogy" by William Gibson (the first book in the series is Neuromancer) that is considered one of the grand-daddies of the genre, of course the classic "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep" which was later made into the movie "Blade Runner". There's a big list of the more popular ones on Wikipedia if you take a look...if you like the style you should check out the animated "Ghost in the Shell" movie...it's a great genre

I thought Zhao was a minor antagonist, so i was kind of surprised when i had to fight her as the final boss. Good game, but I hate how i have to start a new game just to play the game again, though. With all of these upgrades and such, dont you think there should have been a new game+ feature?

@jackfire101 it depends of many factors such as :weapons u choose, augmentations, strategy, use the enviroment (and objects) as advantage and take cover. And the bosses are only difficult if u use the wrong strategy to kill them Ex: i died 3 times in Barret fight, 7 in yelena 2 in the third boss and 0 in the last (normal difficult, first time playing) in give me deus ex difficult(second time playing) : i died 1 time in Barret, 0 in yelena, 1 in the third boss and 0 at the last one.

The boss fight was strange, the emp fields came out of nowhere (come to think of it did you even need to kill the 3 girls?) and I heard that if you have a laser rifle it shoots right through the glass and kills Zhao quickly. Although this is the only boss where there seems to be a way for everyone from all styles of playing to be able to win i.e. stealth fighting and/or hacking, all the other bossfights it was just kill kill kill.

I just completed this today prior to picking up Mankind Divided. You can literally just nuke her with the laser rifle at the start of the fight. I played on the hardest difficulty and one full mag (500 ammo) killed her without messing about with the pre-cogs from Minority Report. I even had EMP Shielding ready for the electrocuted floors as when I played on XB360 back in 2011 I didnt have that and wow what a pain it was. This obviously wont work on a pacifist play through.

Did anyone noticed the reference to Icarus? The women attached to the machine seem to have metal wings, and basically they are humans trying to become more than humans and get closer to god, like Icarus trying to get close to the sun. And like Icarus who died because of his own wings, they die because of the computer they're using to become gods.

haha I'm glad you said that... I finally just beat the game on the hardest difficulty and the ending was and has been totally trial and error. Entered the code on the support system and ran around trying not to die until Zhao was exposed and shot her lol I somehow beat it without knowing what was going on

this fight was much more intense if you hacked the terminals instead of pressing the buttons. but even if you prefer stealth its easier to just go after the buttons..

It's not that the battle was difficult. It's just that it suddenly got so weird. I just didn't know why there were women inside that machine, why I had to kill them etc. There was just so much stuff going on at once in that battle and they didn't stop to explain anything.

I think this last boss was supposed to scare the player and strengthen Darrow’s view that human augmentation needs to be ended. It had no effect on me however, I just killed that bitch Zhao and did the opposite of what Darrow wanted, unbridled future to human augmentations.

Maybe a glitch, i ignored the objectives, and used the laser and killed the lady first. Took me less than 30 seconds to finish this scene. Just ignored the turrets.

I literally hacked a panel and sat in the little corner for a couple minutes and she just died off... worst boss fight ever. (didn't shoot or anything and the bots stayed in their hole roving back and forth, I did this 3 playthroughs in a row)

I'm so glad i upgraded myself for dermal armor, and to resist electricity and gas..and no recoil helped too. This imo was the easiest boss fight in this game :P

i thought this game was very disappointing. it was supposed to be a perfect mix of action and RPG, so they made two areas that had 3 sidequests each... WHAT THE FUCK after those 2 areas, the whole rest of the game speeds up and makes for a good action game, but fucked me over because that's not what i wanted. the original mass effect, though it was shorter, understood a good mix of the two genres. it's still a near perfect game for what it is though.
