MrStaticassassin I have seen it, multiple times. I've also played the game about 6 times all the way through. I'm familiar with their imagery of Icarus and wings. What I'm saying is that I simply missed that very specific example of "using background for wings" in this trailer. I was always busy looking at Adam and his arm as it went back into place, and basically everywhere else on the screen. I just saw the lights as background lighting. I never took notice of the placement of them in relation to him until when I made this original post. I noticed the one in the water at the end of the trailer, just not that one.

This game has commentary on police brutality (and how it works), terrorism (and how it arises), discrimination (and how it's normalized even in a liberal democracy), governments (and how they would happily sign away their peoples' rights for short-term benefits bankrolled by large corporations) and people (and how we are so deeply affected by these things) and honestly the whole thing is just... incredible. You really need to listen to every NPC conversation in this game. It's short, but dense. And full of thought provoking, and sometimes downright depressing moments 'cause it comes so close to reality.

The recurring, almost unconscious imagery of Adam with his wings formed from various seemingly incidental positionings of lights or energy discharges is inspired. In fact all the late medieval symbolism is what makes the game so atmospheric--its incredibly rich, tech-noir blended with renaissance subtext. *Far* superior to 'Assassin's Creed' in my opinion.

It's definitely a lot different to the old games but still a lot of fun in its own right. I agree with what Aratrok1 said because I also played it through a couple of times but haven't come back to it, whereas I often find myself revisiting the original and even Invisible War a couple of times. Still definitely worth a try and a great game if you can remove yourself from the idea of it being similar to the original.

You know I think it is sad that the series is dead for now, I compare this to cyber punk 2077 and while cyber punk has a more expansive world I just find the Deus Ex series to be far more interesting. I think Cyber Punk 2077 is just hollow compared to DE, At the same time I think I now understand why I can't get into MMORPGs yet love games like DE and FF7.

And we need the world to not be ended, so we have somewhere for the game to be. Right?" 2: "Uh huh." 1: "So we've written ourselves into an inescapable corner?" 2: "That is correct" 1: "Ok, well... *takes book labeled PLAYER CHOICES and lights it on fire then throws it in a dumpster*... just take whatever you can remember of the ending, fuck with it till we can write our way out of it, and we'll try to make up for it with a not-shitty ending and better gameplay." 2: "Oh... ok."

It's sad though that all the stealth games always put such action packed trailers, when one can beat these games in non Lethal way, far more heartwarmingly than bashing buttons. Dishonored 2 , Prey reboot, Dues Ex Mankind Divided: all 3 were exactly the same games with different skins
