How to Replace a Snub Mount on a B7 Audi A4

In our inspection video of this B7 A4 we found that the snub mount was non-existent. All the yellow material that is supposed to prevent engine vibration was gone. This is a really easy and cheap install that can make your car feel a lot smoother once replaced.

One of the better videos. I found that all the rubber snub mounts for this model does not fit. Seems there is more than one type on these models.

The snub mounts for the 2.0L may be different than for the 3.2L motors. Both are Audi A4 B7.

Just ordered a ECS polymount for my B6 S4. I wish it was as easy as the A4's.

@@austinstephensparks They literally use a completely different shaped engine side mount. Also there is less than 1.5" of clearance, you can't fit a ratchet in. Only way is to slide the rad support forward.

2002 Audi a4 1.8t Im having vibration when I come to stops in drive, I've replaced everything pcv, maf, suction pump valve, crank, cam sensor, plugs, repaird coil pack wires, and still can get rid of vibration. No check engine lights. Good boost on acceleration. I have not done snub nose but mine looks really good, completely there. I hear some people shave theres down 1 mm so it doesn't hit in bracket at idle? I hear you have to instal this thing in drive with brakes pressed, and center it. You mention none of these procedures in your video. Do you think this could be possible for vibration at idle?

What is the name of the frame where the front motor mount is connected to? The frame with the tubes on the sides (what are they btw?) Mine is very rusted on my b6 and i wonder if it's easy to replace..

You didn't really torque them did you :') A lot of parts are not available for my car, audi tt mk1 180 front wheel drive. To bad, otherwise i would order everything i need for my car on your shop.

They were torqued. To some torque that is good enough.
