Adding subs for PVE purposes was how wargaming added Subs to the PC version of the game first. In one of the Halloween events on PC you used submarines to fight the forces of Rasputin or whatever. And then something like 2 to 3 years later, Subs showed up in random battles. Subs are coming, they're probably closer than we think.

Yeah I don't want the subs either. I wouldn't mind if there was server settings you could switch off for whether you want them in a game with you. I feel like they're like CVs where no one is happy to see them in a game except the person playing one. No value added.

The team command menu needs to be more specific.Players need to know what a teammate is actually trying to do. Lets get some Pre-Dreadnoght premiums at T-2. Also......Let the player decide if they want to have a solo AI battle. I would love to be able to challenge myself and earn more XP etc in the process. basically..... I want there to be an endless wave game mode. Also....make the open ocean a playable map......just for the memes.

They intro or slow roll subs into the game and you can count me out. It's bad enough having CV's as it is. The ONLY way they'd keep me as a custie is if they added a check box where we can "OPT OUT" of sub/cv games a la Crossplay. Rock/Paper/Scissors is how this thing was intended.

Subs could ruin the game. It’s already torpedo happy with some of those destroyers and plane happy. Still think they should come up with some additional player vs player operations to change the game pace up a bit.

I'm personally interested in Gdansk. From what I've read about it on WoWs PC, it's similar to Mogador and Kleber, but with faster firing guns and Kleber's HE damage/fire chance. It's Pan-Euro (Poland specifically), but with the ability to have smoke and radar simultaneously. Could be a nasty gunboat to play with.

I've almost got the Halland fully researched and been grinding the Östergotland to get the Smalland so more Pan euros would be awesome cuz I'm newer and have commited to that playstyle and Pan Euro commanders lol

If Aircraft carriers and Hybrid BB’s are in the game - Why shouldn’t subs be? I think Subs would make it interesting as long as there’s a limit as to how many are allowed each match.

Subs COULD work in legends IF they get rid of homing torps (maybe a limited consumable with next to no damage but high chances of incapacitation) and let regular Sonar pick them up. Not excited at the prospect but if they do it they’ll have to have matchmaking choose between a CV game or Sub game. Never both.

Yeah poor old Florida, I have her and try to find a playstyle for her. Being a Washington naval treaty design she comes pre-nerfed compared to other BBs so i've been trying to build her like a super cruiser. Speed and accuracy. Avoid gunslinger duels with other BBs hunt cruisers, and DDs with HE. Great video TB thanks for the heads up.

So this brings up a few things that go under the radar by their wording 1. Gdańsk is the t10 of the pan euro gun boat line so this is all but confirmation of this being our next new tech line (focuses on smoke radar combo and only fires HE) and this coming by the end of the year might mean they are finally dropping the L tier project with the tech tree 2. The t10 comment might mean something’s are going to be reworked as far as bureau projects go. They might be adding L tier to the tech tree while keeping them as a project as well. Giving you two options on how to obtain your L tier ships. For example Yamato you can either wait a couple months for the project to finish or you can absolutely grind like hell for like 450k xp and 30-35mil silver to get it from the tech tree. They could also make gxp not able to be used on L tier and superships if those come. This allows players who have time to grind feel rewarded by getting that L tier ship and those that maybe can only play a few games a week to get it eventually as well. This would also open up the bureau to house more one off L tiers that don’t have a tech tree like vampire 2 or Rhode Island.

The ONLY way SUBS could work in LEGENDS is they’d be nerfed to the point of not allowing dives beyond periscope depth. Full dives would inspire BOILED POTATOES hiding underwater the whole time! SUBS would be great In RASPUTIN’s FLEET as an introduction.

Or full dives but no homing torps. Them diving is somewhat like their version of a smoke screen. They also HAVE to get detected by sonar unlike on PC where you need a special sonar just for subs

If subs com into the game in any format, they will be in the game 100% within 3 months. Glad to see they are going to add a Bureau project, but they need to dump a bunch of ships in there. Outside of this 5th birthday thing my Bureau has been empty for months.

Anyone who ever thought subs wouldn't come to the game was just drinking the Kool Aid lol. Been saying that since day 1 and I will die on that hill. They will be here in PvP eventually, that isn't even a question. Wargaming makes their money selling ships and when they run out of ships they will invent more. They especially love inventing ships that destroy the balance of the game so the whales rush out and buy the OP stuff before they do a rework and put the focus on some other group of ships so the whales go and buy THOSE lol. To be honest I think submarines shouldn't be added to normal game modes like standard but they should be a separate a game mode that could either be submarine on submarine pvp or submarine pvp with other classes of ships but it's still a different game mode, but if they did add submarines I would really want to see them add the french submarine Surcouf

@georgesmith7449 I haven't played them on PC but from what I can see there is a pretty strong curve in learning how to use them correctly and I see the anti sub weapons to be very strong. I just think people are lazy in wows and never want to adapt to anything and just enjoy sitting behind mountains and spam... this cruiser talk specifically. Dd play is now horrendous, but I myself would love to play subs and also to sink them. It would just mix up the game meta which is so stale lately.

Seen the subs in the PC version. As someone who knows how ww1 and ww2 subs work, you might as well just say the WOW versions are all made of magic. The subs of that era are nothing like that and, in fairness, I cannot see how a 'realistic' treatment could fit properly into WOW. I know WG will inflict these .... *things* they call submarines on us sooner or later, but II will not pretend to like it. One prediction of mine. Early 'Cold War' era ships are cropping up more and more in the game. On that basis, I would not be the least bit surprised if WG eventually puts out, probably at Legendary Tier, early NUCLEAR-POWERED submarines - ie. the Nautilus and the Russian November. Let's be honest, there are Whales in the game who would gladly sell personal body parts for that.
