VatsalaMadam!!!If u excuse me,,may I stand clarified as to whether it is.."rajahari" kodanda raajadeekshaagurum as u pronounced it OR "raajaari"koadanDa raajadeekshaa gurum as we hear from almost from all other singers and as mentioned in several books/scriptures.I think,the latter appears correct since it correctly aims at conveying the etymological meaning of the compound word "raajaari" .

I can understand your concern but violin, which we accompany in our classicals (including the kirtanas sung by Sri Balakrishnaprasad), is very much a western instrument. Dr. Vatsala Patil & Yutu Hi sung without losing our tradition, and is excellent!
