Try using the DevaCurl decadence line before using the gels. Also you can mix a few drops of mirror curls with the b leavin for added shine. Also Decadence one condition you can leave some in your hair as a moisturizer. Supercream works great with b leavin as well

Have you tried ORS Curls unleashed aloe-vera and honey Curl Boosting jelly? I just bought this at walmart for $10 and it gave me great definition and a soft hold. My hair looked like day 3. Then I did the banding method the next day and the definition was still there with the hold. I just had to add a little oil for shine. ..... This was a great review of these products as well.

Yass Girl the B-leave in is the bomb with Eco styler gel! none of Deva Curls gels work for me, but there are many youtubers that use the B-leave in as gel and even under other gels. I just love your reviews, thanks!

My go to is kinky curly curling custard...nothing compares and I've tried everyyy thang!!! I love how u love eco styler bc I do too for my edges and buns etc but for wash n go it's no bueno 🙄

You might like Uncle Funky's Daughter Curly Magic for a stronger hold, although I simply LOVE Deva Curl products. I don't do hair typing, but my hair would be 4b/4c. Both of the gels you reviewed work wonderfully on my hair with either the B'Leavin or Supercream. I don't like crunch, so I love the softer feel.

I'm 7 months late... but with those products they are great! But you have to use their conditioner and leave some in than use the gel... she has a book and a video that explains all her products... it's a great read... ultra define does great for me

I have played around with deva products for a while. I find kinky kurly knot today under the believe in >>>super cream>>> then arc angel gel works nice on my hair. The super cream gives me the moisture I need along with the other products cuz if not it does and will leave my hair on the dryer side. Super cream allows me to be able to get more days with my WnG too!

Katrina Lark Thank you for that info about the KC Knots Today because I use it with my Curly Custard and Camilla Rose Curl Maker even ECOstyler Gel, basically any Gel. I can't get Deva curl products to work for my hair but my Deva Stylist uses the leave-in and the gel to work beautifully on my hair. I feel that my too dry but it's not and I love the softness and body that it gives my hair too. I wish that it could last a full week. I must buy a large size of each product.

B'leave in is not a leave in conditioner despite what the name says, it's a curl plumper, creates more volume and elongation as well as a protein boost, mostly for coloured or finer hair types. Devacurl works best layered over conditioner, using one condtion before is great

I've never really been a fan of gels but I tried the arc angel gel, but didn't like it all that much. I was about to give up on gels and then I tried Aunt Jackie's Don't Shrink Flaxseed Elongating Gel and fell in love. It gave me a nice hold with a little crunch, but the crunch goes away by about day 2.

Try the curly curl cream by taliah wajid. You literally can use it by itself for a wash n go. And you'll have moisture for days plus you get second day hair on the first.

So I use both Gels but you MUST, HAVE TOO apply all deva products on really WET hair!!!! YOU GOT TO LAYER the Be Leavin in wet hair layers with the gel... it is not a stand alone product on 3c or 4 type of hair! The Arc angel is the max hold compared to the ultra defining gel! But it’s gott be applied on wet wet almost dripping wet hair you can do the same clip thinking with the bun just don’t stretch out to much....

Love your videos! This weekend I tried a DYI flax seed gel. Just boil the flaxseed and strain them into a container. It's very snotty in texture and appearance but honey the stuff works like a wonder! 🙌 My husband even saw the difference in my curls!😁

I don't even use gel that much anymore. I find that I don't actually need it. When I went natural, all the videos a watched, everyone used gels. So I believed in order for my hair to be defined I needed gel. But one day I decided to test my hair, only using one product and I used Shea moister curl enhancing something, as leave in and styler. And it came out amazing lasted me five days without refreshing, so when I did refresh it would have lasted me much longer if I wanted it too. Anyway, my staples are Curl Keeper and DevaCurl. I would love to see how Curl Keeper's gel would hold your hair.

My holy grail is the kinky curly custard.. have you tried it? I also love the ecostyler black castor oil gel. I bought it after watching your review! I'm really not interested in trying these devacurl products because I need HOLD lol. But, keep the reviews coming though.. I'm always on the look-out for new products.

tenicaw KCCC is the bomb!! I think every natural tried/used this at some point. I know I did and eventually moved on to other gels, but last summer I randomly picked up some KCCC and that wash-n-go wasnt phased by the humidity at all! I used it for the rest of the summer and just bought a large jar 2 weeks ago so I'm ready for the humid months ahead. Definitely a summertime and humid weather must have.

I just tried the super cream . We have very similar textures. The hold is very soft.and I agree that it just doesn't give the same hold. But do try the heaven in hair D.C. It's amazing.

so I stick with Kinky curl. I need a heavier gel. Haven't try Eco gel at all. I need hold, and the back of my hair from the ear down to the neck, it is so curly it think is a 4b. But the rest a 3 c, it is so strange.

When I first started using @devacurl I didn't wet my hair (only damp my hair) and my results where not what they should've been. Rather than put the product to pastor I gave them another chance and I saturated my hair with water, the results were decent. I believe someone mentioned below the decadence line because its for curly girls like us :-D

I cant tell the difference between the arc angel and the ultra defining gel. Your texture look a lot like mine... The end results are the same. However, the cleaner is bae honey!!! Really clean your hair and get all the oil out... I will be using that from now on for my wash poo days..

It's so funny because I am the opposite of you when it comes to consistencies. My hair loves watery gels. If you would like to try one I would suggest the gel from "Curls and Potions" it has no glycerin though.

Chloe Yorke that gel to me is very similar to a watery like gel. I got flakes too. I have a video on it. I'm not sure if the edge control gave me flakes or the gel.
