This is beautiful. You can tell that he's entirely self taught because of how he holds his fingers incorrectly while playing the piano, which makes it even more beautiful because it shows he had no help at all to get where he is.

You may already be aware of this, but DeVante can't hold his fingers correctly, b/c they're not normal. They're permanently bent. The pinky and ring fingers are the most noticeable, but if you look at the close up during "Can you stand the rain?", you can see that his middle finger is bent between his knuckle and the tip. It's oddly beautiful. Someone from da Bassment crew mentioned De having to get his rings custom made to clamp on, b/c his fingers won't straighten out enough to get a ring on.

Devante and Dalvins Father is a Pastor, K-Ci and Jojo started singing in their fathers gospel group as kids. they are no strangers to the message of Christ. Neither set of parents wanted their boys singing R&B, which in retrospect might have been a wiser path, considering the industry and its vices seem to have got the best these young men during their prime.

What we're hearing is actually Devante's keyboard which was installed as this piano was built. How neat is that?
