You guys hit the jackpot with this place! Its the kind of place you could spend days going through. Just imagine what still be tucked away in there you didn't see! This was an amazing and beautiful house! It’s so sad to see so much history quite literally rotting away in an abandoned home. This is one of the best locations I’ve seen full of history, artifacts, and antiques. Thank you for risking the nettles and broken window to document such a great location! 😎😁 Much appreciation from Canada. 🇨🇦✌🏼

More than one living room thing. A lot of people back in the day had a general living/front room and also had a second room or parlour room for best, like when people would drop in to visit, like a vicar or dr for example, or someone they held in high esteem. My gran had a house that had a set up like that(mind you, I’m bloody ancient🤣)

The thing that’s super sad with ones like these and I think some others of yours I’ve seen lately (only found you last week) is the fact that someone’s passed and literally there’s no one to inherit all these possessions, they possibly had no-one (or estranged) ❤

Thanks for sharing your adventure. It really makes one think about how we just take things for granted. How circumstances can change for a person or a family in an instant. It truly is a shame that certain items that are found can’t be given to a museum and shared. Then again it is someone else’s property and it just feels wrong to remove belongings. It is interesting and a part of history. Th e story of someone’s life. I guess it just human curiosity. I have always found this to be intriguing. Again thank you both for sharing your experiences. Best to you both. Warm regards, Martina

The large bowl upstairs was for water to wash your face and hands, to freshen up. There should have been a large matching pitcher. The stand it is sitting on is called a wash stand. The bowl in the middle of the large could have been part of a chamber pot. It is difficult to tell for sure. I believe the hair clips were used to clip in the hair to make waves. The one living room down stairs could have been a men's smoking room or leisure room. One living room could have been a ladies sewing room. They did knitting, embroidery, etc.

By the look of the way that house has been set up by the people, including their pictures and paintings, must have been a very long time ago when they lived in that house. Even there clothing is extremely old fashioned. I do also feel a lot of sorrow in that house, it must have come from the negative energies that they left behind because if you look at some of their pictures, you do see some men that are dressed up like they were in a war of some type. And you know that the family never had any good energies about their family members being in a war. Always sad thoughts. And there you had to find an old lady's teeth, Ben lol. For some reason I definitely sense a spirit lingering around there in that house just by observing the place. Ben, I think you are in some haunted house for sure.

Emily, i dont know how you can wear such short shorts knowing you have to treck through nettles etc. your very game. there surely was some vintage treasures in this place. great find. BTW - the d after a number is how much it cost... so that book was 6 pence (pennies). 12 pennies made 1 shilling. i think pennies were still around even in the late 60`s and into 70`s.
