She is incredibly strong, and totally misunderstood by the mainstream audience. Her bracelets she wears is to contain the force of a God. The few times they have come off she is the last remnant of the Greek pantheon. She is/was their gift to protect humanity. With her bracelets on, she hast to focus the power. I would say she is stronger than Superman in some instances because she is capable of murder. Whereas Superman is the antithesis of saving everyone no sacrificing other people. I personally love wonder women arc of power as well as story. She is a character who has limitless power, but unlike Superman, she doesn’t have a problem tapping into it. Modern wonder woman comics/mainstream movies. Don’t do a very good job of demonstrating her. It is unfortunate that she shares the same universe with Superman. Therefore she never has to unleash her power. She doesn’t play second fiddle in the sense of not having the power, but rather plays, a supportive role to do the things that Superman wants done but can’t because of his mission requirement.

I hope that the current comic book storyline is intelligent enough to have Devastation show up when a group of villains are gathered to try and stop Wonder Woman now that she's the us government's scapegoat. The character Devastation is an amazing creation, far more fascinating and creative than veronica cale, what a lazy luthor knock-off.

Diana was born from her mom & Hades making Diana a demigod I too thought she was born from clay until this other story popped up.

Actually Wonder woman was created by a love triangle between Hades and the Amazon queen. Diana is actually the daughter of Hades it explains her pension for violence and killing as well as torture. This is one of the reasons why she was so powerful and so unkillable she was not molded from clay or sand she was born like every other human being. It's one of the retcons that they did because Wonder woman's origin story of her basically coming from dirt to be a human being is too similar to the golem of the Jewish Legends was too much of a similarly. And even the writers themselves said that this felt more plausible because it would explain her unnatural strength level and the fact that other versions of her in other realities are psychotic bad guys or psychotic Queens that waged war on the entire world. But I agree this newer character should actually be in a cartoon so we can see how she stacks against Diana.
