The first version of the Veyron was a concept made in 1999 which didn't even have an engine, then Volkswagen many years later made 4 VR6 engines in one, the W16 which then was put in a redesigned Veyron which is the one we know today(the one made in 2005). Devel Sixteen is no exception

The engine is a 7L E20 engine, which can produce 5000 bhp. It uses Nascar wheels, which explode only after 800 kmh. The cool is almost not a problem, since dragsters don't need to be replaced everytime, they just need to start without throttle. The only real problem is the fuel, a Dragster(which has by 7000 to 30000 horsepower) ends the fuel in like 4 seconds

Nice video of a Chiron doing its thing. I am starting to loose faith that the Devel16 is anything more than a concept. I get the feeling that it needs a lot of development, most notably a cooling system and gearbox. I need to see it laying down some serious rubber before i believe the hype. For those who claim that the Devel Sixteen can beat Bugatti Chiron, i'm telling you that you're just little kinds being impressed by numbers. The Devel Sixteen has engine problems because of it's overheating and not at high-end speeds but at the cruising speed and another problem that the Devel Sixteen has is that the car is unstable at high speeds. The Devel Sixteen will never be a production car, only a prototype. Oh and one more thing, the Devel produced 2 more versions of the car one with over 1.300 hp and one with over 3.500 hp. So for the ones who choose the Devel Sixteen over the Bugatti, well you're just dreaming.
