I love this episode. Perhaps my favorite. I found out a year ago that I have metastatic breast cancer. Finished radiation last August. All I wanted to do is get out in the garden. All winter in the interim I planned what I was going to grow this spring. Put in garlic last fall and now it’s doing great. I put in carrots and they are coming up. The brassicas are strong and all the tomatoes and peppers inside are taking off. I have many other seedlings that will go out, oh and 3 kinds of potatoes are in the ground. My garden is keeping me alive. Just for fun, I have a huge Bumblebee that appears every year. I named him Bob. He follows me all around the garden along with my 2 chickens. Life is good.

Thank you for giving me the knowledge and courage to just start growing. You and a couple other youtube gardeners have been invaluable in both of those. After about 4 years of growing with you Ive made so many nemories with my kids and grandkids in a garden I was very nervous about failing at. Thank you Scott

I really did not get into the garden until I moved to Sacramento, CA. Mom has always been big with the plants, & she has an eye for what will grow nicely, & where. I was the person she calls when she needs what removed from where. My wife tried gardening till she found a work - they are icky, & quit. I replanted the green onions - going strong after several years, more flowers forming...at 62, seeing something grow from a seed is really cool. I have started to grow from things I liked to eat, Got the seed, Planted it, & now things are growing. Lemon trees are the big one, Grapefruit, Peach... now, if I like it, I will try to grow it. &, yes, I know that only works with American fruit as all out of the country fruit has been rendered inert. I would buy local, & avoid the rest. Really, Buy Locally is good :-)

I loved your April Fools video! Two thumbs up! I used to joke around in my community college classes with my "stupid" chemistry jokes, with the goal to deliver lines deadpan like you did, and one time the class (1st night, so they didn't know me yet) was looking at each other, and quizzically at me, like they couldn't decide what to think, and then someone said "you're joking, aren't you!" and then everybody felt free to laugh. For me, it took me a moment yesterday to say, oh yeah, it's April 1st! Great job.

I just can not not garden :) Grew up with having all food from the garden, I had to grow something wherever I lived. After 12 years Blackforest CO, I now try to garden in southern New Mexico with a whole different agenda of difficulties. I don't think the excitement of watching something grow can ever stop. In a few years I will try for the local Master Gardener program as well.

I have only started a garden in the last few years. Wife started, grew some plants, green onions for sure, but when she found a worm in the soil, said ick, & quit. I like green onion, so I moved them twice, have my 3rd set going to seed, well flowers now :-) I finally started some Asparagus. & I have had 5 out of 16 seeds germinate so far. These seem to be slow growing plants, I have them under light with tomato's & others... we shall see what the future brings :-) Thank you, for your videos.

I look forward to your “April Fools” videos every year. This more your Aprils Fools video was the FIRST video I watched on my iPhone on a counter top tripod… while making breakfast. I couldn’t wait to see the end of the video before sharing it with our friends and family. My wife has a co-worker in Colorado (we are in Southern California), I told her she must share your video with. LOL. I put the video up on the TV so she could watch before breakfast. I’ve forwarded it to a lot of my contacts and through Facebook Messenger and on Facebook. Well… so far those who have reacted… have a good sense of humor… but those who have reacted… live in California. LOL My wife and I love your creativity, you carry it out with such a straight face… those that don’t like these videos… probably are embarrassed you suckered them all the way to the end. LOL I too… will find out how many of my friends and family…. Don’t have a sense of humor. LOL
