The Mindful Movement

Күн бұрын

Hello and welcome, I’m Sara Raymond with the Mindful Movement. Thank you for joining me today as I guide you on a journey of relaxation and self-discovery. This meditation is a calling from within. I will guide you today to look inward to discover what can be learned about yourself. You can wake up to the many gifts that are intertwined with all of our life experiences. If we take a moment and ask ourselves - what do I know is true in the world, or true about myself, as I witness this experience, then we can open a door to a gift.
Every day we are presented with gifts, but it is easy to overlook them. Today, we will practice awareness. We will practice seeing the gifts in our lives.
Headphones recommended for optimal experience.

One of my greatest gifts is my son and the journey of his 30 year addiction to heroin. I never gave up that somehow he would get the help he needed; and he did and is now free from that drug. We can’t cure them; and his recovery belongs to him as my recovery belongs to me. Love, connecting, and respect are so key. We now enjoy an adult relationship. I am grateful beyond grateful 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️

I have learned so much about my inner strength from the severe stroke that affected my husband almost 13 years ago. That fighting for his rights was something I could do. The situation has taught me to be more empathetic with others, not to make judgements. Most importantly it has taught me the value of time and living each moment in joy. Being present is truly the gift.

The last few years I have struggled with panic disorder. I am going through empty nest syndrome. My son lives 10 hours away and my daughter is 19 and won't speak to me. I also have recently had marital issues and family health issues. I have a lot on my plate and a lot of decitions to make. Your meditations are SUCH A BLESSING and you say the exact things I need to hear at the exact times I need to hear it. WOW Thank you!!!

Thank you for the meditation. It made me think of my mother and how it was hard to talk to her when I was a child and how she would switch off half way through me talking to her. I now realise she couldn't cope and she didn't and doesn't have the ability or strength to deal with things. She gets engulfed by worry. She could not give me the nurture and care I needed because she didn't have the capability to give that to herself. She was seriously depressed. I love her and I need to keep showing that to her and protecting her where possible. Thanks

Your voice and your gentle advice is like a healing balm on a lost and lonely life. The connection to our thoughts which at times control our moods. Thoughts of resentment bitterness and jealousy reflect in the pain in our bodies. You reach into our heart and mind and teach us to be compassionate towards ourselves. We are able to rest in your gentle and loving voice. Thank you You are a gift to our hearts Sarah

I've had a hard time communicating with my dad as I got older. This man is my heart, but I find that in communication I often loose my patience and retreat for days or even weeks at a time because it almost always feels like we speak 2 different languages. I see the gift being that I get to practice compassion and patience with him. Two things that I have struggled with in my life and now see how crucial it is to my development and progress. Loved this. Thank you!

Today this meditation was the purest gift. My husband was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer 18 months ago. He was given 2 yrs to live with chemo. He was only 54 at the time. It was devestating. The gift is he is in full remission. He became remissive after about 6 months of treatment with both chemo and cannabis. In that time our relationship went down the tube. He became a totally different person. Angry and nasty and pulling the family apart with comments and a horrible demeanor. I was angry and very frustrated. My gift with this is to learn compassion and kindness. To have no expectations and not stand in judgement. I am so very grateful for this particular practice because what I see now is a pattern. Directed not only at others but also towards myself. Thank you Sara, I am very grateful for the gift of YOU today.

I am currently challenged by a relationship with my boyfriend who coddles his son and pushes me away as a result. There are several gifts here. I see he is allowing his fears to guide him, and I strongly identify with this from how my mother raised me. Another gift is that we can both help each other overcome these residual fears. I am going to do this meditation a few times a week to allow calm and empathy to guide me! Thank you

When I was in Australia caring for my son who was 3 years, I discovered meditation through the kindness and wisdom of a budhist monk and thus I have been meditating for 22 years .I am a Christian but understand and learn from other spiritual leaders as well. I learnt to slow down and to be more compassionate. To see things in different perspective. To value life . My son looks upon this time as a time he had a great time not with bitterness, I am happy I was able to do that. We looked upon our visits to the hospital as an adventure. We would visit toy world and buy a thomas the tank train and collected almost all . I look upon this time as a time I allowed the power of God within me to guide me and these experiences are a great strength even to day. Today my son perfection healed and living a blessed life. Thank you for teahing me look fir the gift. My father always told us with every failure there comes a gift try find it. Then your Outlook changes

This was a wonderful meditation to listen to this morning. It brought to mind how sad I felt when I had to sell my house. I realized how much I loved it but I never thought about that too much when I lived there. During the meditation, I felt feelings of deep appreciation and love for the experience I had living there and I realized how grateful I am for my new home. This is the gift I received because I had to sell my other home. Now, everyday, I can appreciate my new home more with the awareness of the joyful opportunity I have to lovingly care for it. I have the opportunity to bring more gratitude and love into my life. I feel much more open to the good in my life. Thank you.

This meditation was absolutely a calling from within, as you state in the description. I have been listening to your guided meditations for over 3 years and have always sent links to others who share similar goals of self-healing and awareness. Thank you for opening my window to vistas that changed my thinking and mindset in different, more meaningful and relieving directions. I have been working hard with a therapist for years and your content is an essential supplement/combo that I am truly grateful for. Years of trauma and abuse in my youth, along with the patterns Of behavior to cope with those terrible years are slowly healing. I am finally starting to live my gift of life, and I owe you a ton of praise for helping me get to where I am today.

it's all about learning from experiences, especially the painful ones and being grateful. Something I discovered a year ago after i put an end to a complex and destructive relationship. This turned out to be the best thing ever as it allowed me to understand a lot about myself and my childhood wounds. It was like a light bulb suddenly turning on inside. I knew it all but suddenly it clicked. I actually thanked the person for it months later, didn t want or expect an answer and I didn t get one. I m actually pretty sure this person thought I was nuts when i said "thank you for everything i learned about myself thanks to you " which i think is quite funny cause i don t think it is something he can understand. The concept of learning about oneself thanks to our relationship to others is not something everyone can grasp. Maybe he will one day. And i know i had to go through this to "wake up" , acknowledge my wounds and start working on them so yes, i feel blessed and I see the gift. I am now always looking for the gift as i understand now that there is always one if we are willing to set the ego aside. Thank you for this meditation, I really enjoyed it 💞

What do i wanted to share is, when we have some people that make us feels uncomfortable because of their attitude, it give us a gift to realize that i am learning how to forgive, and learning about what do they expect more to be better in me and practice it, as i realize that i am happy to be a better self.

For many years I thought that I could help some alcoholics in my life, and I finally realized that it was not my job to help them, but to love myself so much that I don't put myself in situations where I'm taking 1 a.m. phone calls and my life is being disturbed. I now send love to people who are toxic or sick, and I keep my distance with love in my heart and no more guilt are feelings that I'm abandoning someone that I love.

Since 22 I deal with ankylosing spondilylitis, and it has being quite a giant challenge, but I always believe it came to teach me about life and living, and I'm firm on that purpose, trying to do my best to go through the suffering it brings. I can say it tought me to find joy in minimal things, to enjoy the food, the sun, the nature. To be thankful for the health I have since I made physiotheraphy with people on veery difficult situations, and even there you could find, in some people, a smile. When we concentrate on the negative aspects, that grows and doesnt make room for good things that maybe trying to show up to you... So comparing or thinking how things could be isnt really very proficuous... Took some years to learn that. Cheers and enjoy

This guided meditation was absolutely astonishing. Transformational in effect, in only a few minutes. I've had a very deep, life-long question that was answered in the most positive way imaginable. The paradigm shift in self-perception that resulted will, without question, have multiple benefits for others and myself. I would describe more details but the story was built over a lifetime and would take so long, so I'll just close with an expression of sincere gratitude and determination to reciprocate. Thank you.

Seeing the gift through the pain…. The lesson rather than the betrayal, the gift of compassion through forgiveness. I see it more clearly now. The blessings appear when we learn to see everything as a Gift. If you can’t see it as a Gift now…. Give it time… in retrospect, you eventually will. By understanding this and practicing it daily, the gap between the pain, and the Gift narrows, as everything is illuminated by Gratitude. 🙏🏻

I have a history of being bullied in childhood and this practice helped me to see the gift in that experience helped me know the power and importance of self affirmation rather looking outside myself for acceptance. It has also given me the gift of understanding that other people in the world are hurting and I can recognize that rather than take their actions too personally

I had an dispute with a co worker. What I learned was to have more sensitivity around constructive criticism. That she is a human being that Im giving feedback to. Not an object. To be wiser in how I go about feedback. Thank you again for another lovely meditation.

Totally Enlightening. I just learned that my struggles with meeting deadlines at work are hampered by my need to be a perfectionist (root cause being Trauma Bonds) i just Realized I need to set boundaries with myself.
