So is this a bounce double rather than using the fingers

I see them as these: kzbin.info/aero/PLcfoni8UPb9q2nNqDB6TXprHhMS6yGxqj - As the speed increases, (assuming you've practiced those and got your bounced double stroke assimilated) the finger movement for the second note gets subtler but is still there on the doubles.
