KeeperOfWind This is the first step, in sure it will come eventually. Blizzard did this for a lot of their game. Starcraft 2 and Warcraft 3 are the best example of that. If they add a server browser they probably might add a tool to customize the game.

It's only a matter of time really. Blizzard has, historically, supported the modding community. Just look at Starcraft and Warcraft 3. I'm sure they see the potential of Overwatch supporting mods in the future.

*YES!!!!* Awesome idea! As a long time tf2 fan, I'm glad to see that you guys continue to take some of the better aspects of that game and use it to expand overwatch, while actually listening to what your community wants unlike valve. I think the next logical step is to provide tools to the community to allow for custom maps, or something like the steam workshop. That was always one of my favorite parts of tf2 (before valve neutered it with the meet your match update, and diminished support for community servers) was being able to hop into one of your favorite community servers with a bunch of regulars, and play around with all kinds of crazy custom maps, and I think that Overwatch could really benefit from that experience. Don't get me wrong, I love a lot of the stock maps, same as I do in tf2, but it was always so cool to see what players could come up with. I remember pushing payloads through underground lava filled bases, playing a jailbreak themed cp map where one team was trying to escape from their cell block, and take over the courtyard, a recreation of a d-day esque scene where one team had to storm a beach to capture a point, and then march their way through an abandoned city, and even a crazy 5cp map where all the players were the size of action figures, and had to raid their way from a house on one side of a street to another, and cap each of the rooms on the way to a play area in a child's bedroom. Overwatch is already a pretty cool game, and I think that additions like these will just keep making it even cooler! Absolutely love how you guys keep adding ways to get the community involved in the continued development of the game!

nothing will ever replace tf2 for me. not even overwatch. I love the game, and I love the devs, but pharah is no soldier. I have never experienced anything quite as rewarding in a video game as learning how to air-strafe, rocket jump, juggle, and ultimately land decently consistent airshots (on people I knocked up. I still can't land shots on other soldiers). That's my one gripe with overwatch. they made the game super accessible by lowering the skill floor so that anyone can play it, but they also lowered the skill ceiling so much that it's impossible to improve past a certain point. tf2 is a game that can never truly be mastered, and I feel I'm already about as good at overwatch as I'll ever be. it's kind of disappointing in that regard, but that's about my only major issue with the game. for people who never played tf2, I'm sure it's not a problem, and still provides enough of a challenge, but I'm still waiting for them to release a true analog for soldier in terms of having a high skill ceiling. genji's in the ball park, but they remove so many of his (unintended) abilities to the point where even he's been kind of dumbed down too. at least I have evie in paladins x) she's pretty darn close to how soldier plays in tf2 in that regard.

Hey Jeff Kaplan, Really hoping you're reading this, I got you an amazing idea for the PTR Which is easy to Implement. A window that pops up after 30min - 1 hour of PTR Gameplay in the mainscreen asking the person to rate 1-5 Smiley Satisfaction with the Changes made, And Optional message below the 1 - 5 Rating system. This way you will get a lot more accurate statistics on the positive feedback as well as the negative, And after the changes are Made you can post the results public of how many voted what amount of points in statistics, Example (15%) voted 1, (5%) voted 2, (20%) voted 3 , (25%) voted 4, (35%) voted 5. Thank you for the amazing work you and the Overwatch team been doing!

This new custom game feature is great. However, I am pretty sure if you are attempting a very in depth gamemode there should be a way to save your modes in some way. The saved modes should also just be easy to select off the bat. This is so players are able to hop on Overwatch and easily pick that custom game instead of taking the extra minutes to set that mode back up.

Can we essentially make our own PTR with the server browser? For example, let's say I think the cooldown of Roadhog's hook is too short. I can make a custom game with the only change being Roadhog's hook cooldown, put it out there for the world to see, and see how people like it. I could go on the official forums or Reddit or the like, make my case for my personal PTR changes, and get tons of people to copy those settings. Communities could develop around their personal "patch notes", playing games and gathering data about a version of Overwatch we'd like to see. I'm sure the devs would get this data automatically, but internet communities could hold events, tournaments, and general play with their changes, showing how much we want these changes and showing how it affects the game, for better or worse.

Really glad to see this. The more options the better. I know we were asking for a server list since the beginning in Alpha, simply so we can pick the best server for ourselves, weather its ping based or whatever. Hopefully the server list will have the standard saved "favorites list" feature for our favorite servers/hosts. Since they updated the menus for adding more chats/emotes (4) if we can just get the chat and emote "chain" menus a la Tribes/Tribes 2, that would be awesome. They make things much more efficient.

Something you guys should do is power ups. Where it's where there are power ups like double damage or 20% more speed ,or something that lets them use their abilities for 1 time or something that allows them to use a passive like Lucio's wall ride or Genjis cyber agility. custom games should have a bit more freedom (setting health, dmg etc. for each team, changing individual hero stats, allowing heroes to only one of the teams, setting timers, saving settings, change hero abilities, create new heroes (with weapons and abilities from other heroes, but with different stats))

It can't hurt to add multiple pages to the arcade, or (God forbid) have more than five different gamemodes on one screen. It is my favorite game mode, and I use it to warm up. Without trying it, I already think saving the config for a custom game in something like Profiles (if that makes sense) would be a greate feature. This way if you think a type of custom game is really good or fun for X reason, but is somewhat tedious to configure the map, you could do it once, save it to a profile and use it in another game. Don't know what you think :)

Gun Game was already a custom mode that people came up with It starts at genji (or zen for reverse gun game) and each kill gets you to the next hero, dying as genji/zen you stay as them, dying as anyone else go back one, first team to get a kill as zen (genji for reverse) wins

Omg you know what would be really cool for hero settings? The ability to change how they work. Like maybe make Mercy's pistol fire super fast but do low dmg, or make soldiers gun shoot slow but do more or allow abilities that need a target, like Mercy's flying, no longer require a target, because in a Mercy boss battle that'd be bloody hectic. Also if possible you should totally add the seasonal event game modes back in along with the seasonal maps if you haven't already.
