Every hunter has the same “uhhh” and “ahhhh” Gendered of course but having a new grunts wouldn’t give anyone an advantage beyond knowing a different skin is being used If you can’t tell by gunshot noise already you wouldn’t be able to ascertain anything useful by the change

Building them the first time was damn hard enough. The price for Prestiging is too high for me to ever do it no matter what I would get in exchange. :(

The rarity system already exists in the game and it doesn't really change any existing functionality, it just makes it more understandable to new players. It's understandable to be concerned, but it's not actually any under the hood change - just UI/UX that is more easily related to other games.

EXACTLY THIS! It should be something like lvl 1-20 is T1 looking, then 20-40 is Tier2 Looks, then when you reach 40-50 your hunter looks like a Tier 3. So you know that guy has traits and probs a sweaty loadout and perhaps is trying harder than the guy in the blue shirt looking like farmer and bringing romero, nagant.

Yeah it's kinda funny. Like the freaking screen that you tweak your loadout for the free hunter takes up your whole screen and has so stupidly big boxes. yeah that is all there is to it. Before the BB skins in the game did cost like idk 600 BBs and the newer ones kept costing more and more and DLC hunters became way better deal in comparison. Later they removed for players to earn BBs ingame properly, limiting it to 50 per week through those dumb challenges and they still kept releasing insanely expensive BB hunters. Freaking Corvid costs 2000 BBs. So yeah now they have a system that will justify all of this and will introduce some standardised crazy price categories. Also kinda cute how they are basically selling to us the tier 2 and 3 hunters as skins, very smooth.

The only thing we know is that come August the Book of Weapons and the Book of Monsters will be gone. And given what happened to the Louisiana Scrapbook I think we in the lore community are justified to be worried that history might be repeating itself and five years of narrative are just being unceremoniously dropped.

Rarity doesn't belong in this game at all, it makes people want to use whats considered "Higher Rarity" compared to what they actually like, plus none of the skins are exactly "rare" anyway since you can drop $20 on the game and get anything that's not an event exclusive. (Edit) it seems that a lot of you missed the point of this comment, I was simply stating that a rarity system does not belong in this game and should not be added. I still feel that its one step forward, two steps back with this whole revamp update. Things just needed polishing not a full overhaul. The nicest thing I noticed is the ability to chose rewards at prestige; because there are rewards and skins I don't really care about and I already have a large collection to the point where things are cluttered in my collection of skins.

How is it bad? Genuine question, I really don't know how it can be harmful on its own. It just looks like a new form of labelling to me, if anything, it looks beneficial to me to put together the tiers of generic hunters and the legendary ones and allowing us to choose whichever we want

I'll be honest (tho I doubt anyone will read after so long) I actually liked the "shared progression" system, where you could share the experience on the weapon your teammate was using, that way you would end up having the most important weapons faster and even other less importants, or if you wanted a less popular one you could grind it yourself

That massive update is a great effort of all of you! But (at least) that new hunter-related UI has me worried as well. We'll still have to see how everything can be navigated through, but I'm a huge anti-fan of splitting necessary info into more screens / clickable sub panels. Also I would have loved to finally get drag&drop for that kind of menu, but I guess that's too much of a time sink to develop.

I have to say something about the last video regarding the cheater/hacker section because I didn't comment on the video because I only saw the video a few days later. But as someone who comes from rainbow six siege and has years of experience fighting cheaters, I have to say that it's almost impossible to tell that someone is cheating/hacking in hunt showdown. Only with the most obvious cheaters is that possible. Unfortunately, there are many who don't make it obvious. And it's not our responsibility to keep our gaming experience cheat-free. It's your responsibility. Even with replay functions, you have to watch some cheaters for minutes to see that they can see through walls or use soft/hard aimbots. Unfortunately, not all cheaters are obvious and want their account banned. Even if that's almost never the case with even the most obvious cheaters. As someone who loves Hunt Showdown and plays as fairly as possible, even in solo runs I often form a team with another solo player after our gunfight, I don't ignite most of the opponents because I find the feature too frustrating, and I write a "gg wp" on the corpses in the chat because the gunfight was really fun. I think if something is suspicious I report the opponent and hope that YOU DEVELOPER get to the bottom of it to see whether this person is cheating or not.

oh and one more thing. why should I waste my time watching my opponent and checking if he is cheating when you should have people who are paid for it. I just want to have a good time with friends and enemies in a fair game

Respectfully, why do you care? If, as you say, it is difficult to distinguish a cheater from a legitimate skilled player, how does it affect your game? I'd understand if you were encountering spinbots or getting killed at spawn or something, but I think the witch-hunting is silly. I ask this as someone who's never cheated. I have 1.2kd, I'm 4*, I hit very few of my shots. I get called a cheater constantly in-game and have pages upon pages of abuse on my Steam profile. Maybe just play the silly cowboy game?

Why, why is everything scrollable horizontally? For PC players it's a huge set back in UI navigation, for controller pressing up/down instead of left/right to navigate a menu is no different, so going with horizontally scrollable sub-menus for loadout selection and hunter selection from roster is an unnecessary annoyance, and instead of saving up on clicks we will now have to click even more to get to where we want, not to mention that scrolling vertically with a mouse wheel is x100 times for intuitive for mouse and keyboard.

Rarity over legendaries, what a shame. Random names is so much better for recruiting hunters, new blood always comes for the hunt, now it’s just same old same old. Some changes are nice but feels more directed toward those who don’t want to experiment with different weapons to unlock ammo variants, why is that? Playing different weapons toward special ammo and variant is part of the hunt experience, why does this update makes it so boring?

I think that's not possible. If you hear a death scream it should not be possible knowing which hunter exactly died only if it is male or female so they won't do that. But I for myself would appreciate that, too. 😁

It appears so. He said all the rewards are retroactive and that there will be ones every 5 levels so if you're P100 you should be getting a legendary for hitting P15, P35, P45, P55, P65, P75, P85 and P95.
