I wouldn’t agree on your advice with regards to initial OPT. You cannot work for uber eats. However you can work multiple jobs on 1st year but should be related to your field of study. Get your facts right :)

My lawyer confirmed the first year of OPT as unrestricted EAD. Some sources confirm as unrestricted too. And yes it’s right the first job should be related to your major but multiple jobs other the primary maybe not. So that should must be confirmed by laywer!

Also university doesn’t allow you to allow to apply for EAD if it’s nit related to your major. Once you get your EAD Check with lawyer what you can do

Hey Harnoor. Just to correct, 1st october is not a generic date when you can resume your travel. It will be the date when you get your approved H1b document. In a lot of cases due to USCIS backlog, people have received their approval in Jan and even Feb

EAD doesn’t determine kind of job. Your SSN will have restriction or not. Usually for F1 students your SSN will say “with authorisation with DHS only” which legally means every job you do needs DHS authorisation.

As I came to know H1-B visa lucky draw opens 2 to 3 times a year. First it opens in March then results come in April then the lottery opens again in May. Because some candidates' visas were cancelled due to lack of documents, the seat became empty and the lottery started again. Is it True ? Then how to apply ?
