Totally true specially about bigger orgs. Thsese are some our switch names: SMH-Hartman-WIFI-3650-SW1 FHA-FCC-B1A-Core-SW1 FH-PHS-SUNH-WLC-001 VCH-EVGH-MER-R3-OOB-1 Authority-Campus-Buildind/room-rack/closet-switch model or use-numbering It's such a useful thing actually in the time of monitoring and troubleshooting and defining the scope of potential issues. Thanks Jeremy

Love this tutorial. This is a bit outside the scope of your video but fits in under documentation. Another important point makes sure that least two people have authorized access to passwords and configuration information. Your network admin could die suddenly (In the case I am thinking of he fell off a ledge that gave way while hiking and broke his neck after falling 60 feet!). Also if you are going to have auditors review the network setup and configuration the manager should provide a letter to both the auditors and the network admin giving authorization well before the auditors are to being heir wor. The manger must be present when that letter is given and when the auditors arrive onsite commence work.

~10:00 I am wondering how could you execute those commands all at once. first thought was creating a file with a list of IP addresses and looping through them in terminal... turns out it's not that simple. Can be done, but solutions looked very verbose. Would be glad to know for such tasks there be a simple chain of commands without resorting to complex multi-line scripts or configuration automation solutions.

If the switch RT-ST4-S1 dies and you replace it. Is the new switch name RT-ST4-S3 or RT-ST4-S1? If it isn't RT-ST4-S3 then it seems that you naming the current role of the switch vs a name for tracking the history of the switch. Do you track the history of equipment using factory serial numbers?

There is some naming errors in this video. The labels on the switches, hostnames and putty session saves does not match up. You wrote RT-ST1-SW1 on labels and RT-ST1-S1 on the hostname, putty and on the sketch. And also for the other ones.. SW2, SW3, SW4 Please fix theese bugs. :)
