Bravo 👏👏👏👏👏 Thank you for showing exactly what goes on in a sign company. The potential pitfalls are the same in every shop. I appreciate what you do.

That was an excellent video! It is especially helpful for future customers to understand some of the inside idiosyncrasies of your business processes. Thanks for sharing!

Can you explain how a project flows through your company step by step and who does what? For instance, the salesman makes that first contact, then how does it get designed, who quotes it, how does it get sent into permitting, when do you put it into production, how does the fabricators see the job, how do they prioritize which job to do first and what to do after, how does the project get scheduled for install, and how does it get finaled out (aka final payment, inspections for the permit, etc).

The key to a successful business process automation software project is taking a critical look at existing processes and being willing to adopt and adapt to new workflows. The biggest failures in BPA projects are when existing poor processes are forced onto the software. Automation of inherently poor workflows or administrative processes just means you make those same mistakes faster. If you ever hear someone say that XYZ has to be implemented “because we’ve always done it that way” that is when the business has to be willing to evaluate whether any existing process deserves to be continued or if a new way of working through the software will save money in the long run.

How do you guys keep track of employees work hours on a job?
@media1wrapthis11 ай бұрын
Hey Brandon! Each employee clocks into (and out of) each project on SquareCoil. They are presorted into their respective departments, so the system automatically tells you design, vinyl production, wrap install, fab, paint, etc department hours (and individual hours) per job! 😎

Does Media 1 fabricate animated signs -- either sequenced lights or neon? As a hobbyist I use Arduino/Raspberry Pi to animate lights, but am curious how the pros do it.
