Have you installed the nRF Connect SDK? If we have an Amazon echo dot, can we use the Alexa app to commision the bulb and switch and then control them from the Alexa app?

The 5th gen Echo Dot (2022 release) supports mesh networking, so if you provision a Mesh network using your Alexa app on your phone you should indeed be able to control devices in the network with your Echo dot, or control the Echo dot from your phone's Alexa app.

@@NordicSemi can you bit elaborate on this or give a link to more precise information. I guess in topology of 1st example Thread Border Router is provisioning a Mesh network, so logically speaking Echo Dot is replacing it. But does Echo Dot 5th Gen need any additional set up?

@@ozren666yes, if you use Echo Dot it replaces the Thread Border Router. You should not require extra set up, but we recommend reading more about Amazon Alexa Matter support here: developer.amazon.com/en-US/docs/alexa/smarthome/matter-support.html

Are there any guides on how to set up matter from scratch? I already have quite a complex firmware that was ported to nRF5340 and I need to add Matter over Thread on it, but I only see documentation for starting new firmware taking the samples as a base.

I am getting a error while executing git -C third_party/zap/repo/ checkout -f 2ae2264d it say pathspec did not match any files known to git pls help me in this
